Thinkway's Toy Story Collection

Trixie might actually happen. Since the packaging has already been designed, and they’ve mentioned that Trixie was designed to look like the same set as Rex. Also Trixie seems to be popular enough for Thinkway to consider it.

They Still have 3 TSC bullseyes at my Toys R Us for $49.99 (7% indiana sales tax).

I think all of them look fine except one looks like the batteries are hanging out a bit (maybe a slight velcro problem), Of Course, I dont seem to have to super critical eye alot of you posters have. But if someone wanted one, I can go grab one.

If they did Trixie, it would be good if they had both versions (the $30 version like of rex) and the TSC version. Trixie might be one of the characters, like Chunk, Twitch, and Sparks where they would be better served just having the non-TSC version, I think.

My Lotso Huggin Bear Lost His Sent. Is There Any Way I Can Get His Scent Back?
I Have A Spray That I Bought, But It Doesn’t Get The Original Scent Back.

Exactly.

^Tyler suggested buying a strawberry air freshener and sewing it inside of him to let the scent absorb into him. Mine still has his scent so I haven’t had the opportunity to test it yet but it seems like it would work.

OK. Thanks.

Yeah, Im surprised there inst at least a Thinkway version of Trixie that is in scale by now. Dinosaurs always sell, regardless of the franchise. they could make it as good as the twitch and chunk figures. I wouldn’t expect an articulated jaw. if they do I’ll be mad, since Rex did not get it.

I also am hopeful that Thinkway makes a non-collection Trixie, just like the Twitch Chunk and Sparks. It just makes so much sense! She would probably even be easier to design than the others, she has less articulation, doesn’t even have an action feature like chunk’s face and twitch’s mouth.

Actually it just occurred to me, she doesn’t really have teeth, so an articulated jaw might be feasible. they could even add in a feature where if you move one of her legs, or twist her tail she opens her mouth and has some phrases. They dont have to, I would buy it regardless, but doing so would make it more appealing to kids, so it sounds like something they would do.

Tthe articulated jaw thing was only removed due to being a safety hazard. with her mouth being perfectly smooth, I could see them doing it.

You seem to know alot about this line? Has it been confirmed that Hamm was scrapped due to the disney store version. I see most peoples collections on here seem to have the disney store hamm.

Like someone said, I think it was Kyle, It was never really “Announced” so Hamm can’t really be “Cancelled”. The word that’s going around is that the prototype was shown to retailers and they wern’t interested. Many people have the DS Hamm because it’s not too expensive at $20, it looks fantastic, and it’s perfectly in-scale.

Even IF the “collection” version of Hamm was shelved because the electronics made the figure too expensive to market/sell, surely that wouldn’t prevent Thinkway from releasing a non-electronic version of Hamm in the same “non-collection” category of figures as their Twitch, Chunk and Sparks figures (perhaps even using the same sculpt as their “collection/electronic” Hamm).

I understand that the Disney Store has a good version of Hamm, but surely everyone in the US doesn’t have access to a Disney Store (or are they really that popular over there) and it ignores the fact that international fans (outside of the US) do not have a financially viable option for obtaining a “replica” Hamm since Disney Store’s international shipping is prohibitively expensive (at least for me).

I’m keeping my fingers crossed that Thinkway will release an in-scale and screen-accurate Hamm (without the electronics, but as a “working” piggy bank).

Ha! Yes I did. It was about my 10th or 12th attempt (about the 4th at this store) and finally they had him. 2 out of 5 sets they had were the movie accurate Ken. One had a dark smudge on his nose, else I might have picked up both.

Apparently Target had a sale on TSC Buzz and Woody for $35 a piece. Last tuesday, so exactly a week ago today. I really wish I would have known. Apparently they do these random 1-2 day sales in the middle of the week on TSC figures.

I don’t believe Hamm was canceled due to the DS Hamm, probably just the opposite. once Disney realized retailers were not interested in a costly electronic Hamm, they decided to make their own as sort of a consolation prize. and being more obscure might have been what allowed them to make him as basic as possible, a simple bank with a cork. They didn’t need to pimp him out as a must have, since their in more limited quantities and will sell well enough on their own.

While its certainly true Thinkway wouldn’t need to make him electronic, its just not what they like to do. They prefer to sell toys that have more play value than the ones in the movies. I think Thinkway was only interested in doing a TSC Hamm if they could do it their way.

Do u guys think we will find out about WAVE 3 in a couple of days because of the SAN DIEGO COMIC CON this weekend???

I finally figured out which Woody I want! It’s this one.

I still think the TSC Woody is great, but it’s not for me. I want as toy accurate as possible. I don’t need interactive stuff, nor do I want it.

Only thing is the hat has two holes, but I can get around that with an old Woody Hat that I have.

Also figured out that the Buzz that best suits my desires is the Disney Store one.

I hope so, but I’m honestly not expecting it.

Hey Kyle I just thought of something. The Aliens and the toy soldiers are TSC and they are less than 50bucks and they don’t have any gizmos the aliens do even less than advertised ( if you consider the movies advertisement) and they were still produced. They are durable and accurate but besides that they are not anything special. So, what about Hamm and Slink in this regard. I do t want any gizmos I just want toys that my “child” can play with that won’t break and are part of the official collection. What do you think about this?

those are obviously the exception, but they havnt dont anything like those since. and they probably would have enhanced those in some way if they could. I think the soldiers size made that impossible. the aliens, they kinda did enhance them later in small way by making them glow in the dark, but yeah like I said, Thinkway prefers to go the electronic route, I’ll never say never, but its just looking pretty unlikely. Even Thinkway’s slogan, “Im a thinking toy” implies their toys are interactive in some way. I think they would rather let some other company do Hamm, which they have already. Slink, not much to say that I havnt already.
