I guess i would like to believe that Hamm and Slink are worth making a bad business decision on the part of Pixar/Disney on behalf of the fans. Stinky Pete would also be a mistake in that he is only popular with hard core collectors. i dont think many 7 year olds are going to bed and dreaming of the Prospector. He even cringed at the sight of himself.
Has the Chunk Toy always been interactive? i just saw a new Chunk toy on the TRU website that requires batteries does anyone know anything about this?
Bullseye is now available online at toysrus.
So my new Woody doll’s left leg is coming apart at the seams. It’s really small but I haven’t played with him that rough for him to rip like this. He’s ripping very “evenly” too so it can’t be my fault. Will Toys R Us let me exchange it? It has not been 90 days yet.
Can you post a link to it? I looked but couldn’t find one that said anything about requiring batteries. As far as I know, there has only been the action figure and buddy pack scale Chunk figures, and then the one accurately sized Chunk in the $25 line from Thinkway, but I could be mistaken.
While I agree that Stinky Pete would be a harder sell than say Jessie or Bullseye, I still think that he would sell decently because kids would see that the box is similar to Woody’s and they would want him by association. Plus, they made a Utility Belt Buzz, which when I first discovered it I about had an ulcer I was so mad. I couldn’t believe that they were wasting a spot in the lineup for basically a repackaged product with a new gimmick. I gave it time though, and it started to grow on me, and I now own it and have it displayed with the rest of my characters. I think that given enough time, he will grow on people enough to the point where they will purchase him even though he is just a grumpy old prospector.
As for the likelihood of Hamm and Slink, personally I don’t feel they need the TSC treatment, as it would just end up costing more for something that isn’t as accurate as it could be, and to some degree already is, and I think if they were going to release them, they probably would have found some way to get them out in the earlier waves, as they are core characters that have a larger mass appeal, unlike Belt Buzz, RC and Lotso. While I don’t think that they’re coming, I won’t say never, because Thinkway has surprised us before, and I’m sure they could do it again, but I’m not sure if it would be a smart move on their part.
yohoitsjoefosho, I think that they would allow you to exchange it, but you could also try contacting Thinkway’s customer service and explaining the problem to them. They might be able to send you a replacement one in exchange for you sending yours in.
Here is the link that you requested for chunk. Maybe its a misprint or something. And here i am puting off purchasing him for quite some time on the grounds that i didnt have movie accurate Ken. But since i now have him, and chunk has become more sophisticated (not that he needed to be) i will get him now.
hey guys as posted earlier my mother claimed she would give me some money and buy me woody so i went ahead and bought buzz. should i return buzz for woody, keep buzz, or return buzz and collect my money
what are you nuts? Buzz is the only TSC figure that is worth the whole 50 dollars. His features are worth it (utility belt buzz has even more than the normal buzz)
Woody is great and IMO worth about 40 but I would pay 50 for him because one. his hat is much better than the plastic used in 95. (and has stitching with NO HOLES)
two. he still has a lot of features.
and three. even though there are a LOT of QC issues you still may find one that is 99.9% perfect
I’m ordering a Bullseye! Wish me luck for no QC issues
got a quick question, i originally bought a TSC Buzz and Woody for my 2 year old last xmas and after watching him throw them about ive decided to get another 2 to put away but looking in UK store today when pressing the buttons on Buzz his head doesnt seem to move in the box anymore.
im sure the first one we got did, just wondered if its where his in demo mode or if theyve taken that feature out ???
That’s the one that I have, and as far as I can tell he doesn’t require any batteries, because his only feature besides the articulation is the button that changes his facial expression and that happens manually, no electronics. I think what happened is that they misprinted it there, because Sparks requires 1 AA battery for the light in his chest, and they must have just mixed up the details for the two of them. Hope that helps clear up any confusion.
Hello my name is GBinc but you can call me Jaime. This is my second post. I have read 3 threads. Wampar your collection is amazing.
That must be a defective one. Both of my Buzz’s(original and utility belt) heads move in “try me” mode.
Im with you on that one it has to be defective. the QC on the buzzes are getting worse and worse especially on the wings so grab a good one and don’t settle for too many issues
I heard somewhere that UK Buzzes didn’t have the head-turning function.
I live near 4 Targets that are each 10 minutes away from me and each target has empty Toy story toys section. There is always one buzz with an opened box that doesnt work. They never have anything more than an opened, broken TSC buzz. They dont even have lots o, small soldiers, aliens, or woody. They dont even restock on those cheap 10 dollar Woody and buzz action figures.
I live near 2 disney stores and each disney store is not selling any of the TSC because it is so expensive.
I live near 3 Toysrus and each has Jessie, 4 Bullseye, unlimited supply of woody, unlimited supply of lotso, unlimited supply of buzz and utility belt buzz.
I live near 1 Kmart and they have 10 buzz and 10 woody TSC, each 59 dollars and 3 MR Potato head TSC on sale for 39
I really think these stores need to step it up and have Toy Story Sales especially Disney store and Toysrus since they each have 1,000 buzz and woodys on the shelf, on top of the shelf where customers are not supposed to touch and in the back.
and Target needs to stock more TSC rather than have broken buzzs
I heard somewhere that UK Buzzes didn’t have the head-turning function.
Not true.
So any news from the Comic Con? Anyone?
I heard that too about Buzz, and in many cases it has seemed to prove true. And also, I don think the con has officially started yet
Hi Guys,
I’m from the Philippines and TSC Buzz and Woody is out of stock here everywhere…
do you guys think they will have a re-stock here?
Also, It hates me when toys go on sale just when you buy it at SRP and then dang! it will be on sale… how about the rarity and limited edition per se’… sheesh!
And also, I don think the con has officially started yet
It hasn’t. Comic Con starts tommorow (the 22nd) but tonight is the Preview Night. I doubt any news will come from it though. We should have some news about this time tommorow night.
