Thinkway's Toy Story Collection

Is anyone actually expecting news on a possible wave 3? or is this more hopeful than anything else.

I have a suspicion they might hold off any more toys til the movie release. Toy sales have likely already peaked.

Hey guys, another UK collector joining in your Thinkway Ramblings!

I can confirm that my UK Buzz Light Year Space Ranger, has the head turning capabilities! ordered him from

Its just wishful thinking. Im not expecting anything outside of what we already know, which is for them to show off wave 2.

Remember guys, this isn’t exactly a toy fair.

I’ve honestly only followed the thinkway toys after the wave 2 release, how did they announce wave 2?

Which ones were wave 1 and which were wave 2.

I think the official Line-Up for the different waves is Woody, Buzz, RC, Soldiers, Alien (3 Pack) and Rex for wave 1,
And Mr. Potato Head, Jessie, Bullseye, Lotso, and Utility Belt Buzz.

I think they technically announced both at the same time, but released them at different times. I think it was at the Toy Fair when they had the soldiers do the announcing and they had John Lasseter in Lego.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

What about the thinkway toys that were non-TSC, like chunk, twitch, sparks, rex, bullseye, etc that run around $30? did they release them all at once, or were they also in waves?

It seems that Stores have stoped restocking TOY STORY toys as quickly as they used to before the movie came out and some have stoped geting get restocked all together :exclamation:
. Im so trying to get the Ken doll that looks just like the one in the movie but all my walmarts and Targets have stoped restocking the Barbie Ken Boxs for over a month now . My Disney store put all the TOY STORY toys in a corner of the store insted of having them all over the store the way it used to be :frowning:
All they have now is Back To School stuff for Kids at Disney Stores now
I got the last Ham they had and they havent restocked him in over 2month all you can get is the stuped stuffed Ham now  They also Stoped restocking Dolly and the other small stuffed TOY STORY 3 gang , I hope they pop up again when the TOY STORY 3 Blu Ray/DVD comes out on Christmas :exclamation:

So much for wave 3 i guss :`-(

I still haven’t seen Bullseye in either form, except in a Sam’s Club two pack. But I think they weren’t really in waves. Like I saw Rex along with the wire-framed Buzz and Woody way back in Dec. But Chunk Twitch and Sparks ship together. So I guess they are in “Waves”, but there’s really only the one set. It’s just the way they were released so that characters from the first two, like Rex, were released back when all the stuff was being shipped, while new characters from TS3 would hit stores around the time the movie hit theaters.

Because the General Public wouldn’t be interested in buying Chunk until they’ve seen the movie. Or they really like Rock toys. Again, correct me if I am wrong about any of this, because my local stores all get stuff in at really strange intervals.

EDIT: I have noticed that too, WoodyBuzz. I guess since the movie’s been out for over a month (In the US, that is. Sorry, UK guys…) the stores have decided that the main popularity is done, because it’s been out so long. I don’t know what they would be needing the shelf space for so bad. I REALLY wish someone would do a sale soon… I need a Potato Head and I don’t have $50.

My disney store hasnt restocked hamm banks either, but they seem the restock the beanies on occasion. Mine had buttercup, trixie and dolly the other day but they sold out quickly. Mine only gets restocked on tuesdays and this past tuesday the only restocked toy story they got was the beanie sparks.

I’m debating on whether or not i would like the peas in a pod, pricklepants, buttercup, and dolly from the disney store. I honestly only want the bonnie toys if they make a plastic trixie(even a non TSC version), otherwise I’m satisfied with Andy’s Toys.

I bought several of the non TSC for my nephew who actually plays with them, like the $30 rex, $30 woody, $10 potato heads, etc. However, the Hamm Bank really isn’t a toy, and I cant find a hamm toy thats big like the other ones, I’m debating on whether or not to go stuffed or see if thinkway eventually comes out with a TSC or non TSC version.

I saw the bullseye twice at the disney store before it sold out. It was the same one as the one in the Sam’s Two pack. My TRU has the other 3 TSC bullseyes i didnt buy as of this morning. Not sure why bullseye was so late. I saw Chunk, Twitch and Sparks in the disney store a good 2 months before the movie, but TRU didnt get them til a few weeks ago.

I’ve actually only seen the TSC Rex at the disney store, and they had 2, and sold out in a week and never reordered. Not sure why they dont re-order stuff like that and the hamm bank that sell out quick as heck.

Edit: Funny side note, I wanted Chunk, Twitch, and Sparks LESS after i saw the movie, lol. They had such small roles. I think Thinkway grossly underestimated the Bonnie’s Toys.

For the Disney Stores, it may just be becasue they don’t get shipments very often. Beanies are easy to get in shippments for because they are so small/light so they can get so many of them so easily. And they sell well because they are fairly cheap. Hamm, on the other hand, is a big bigger, and they have to be carefull to make sure they don’t break during shipping.

Also I could see them not expecting Hamm to be a popular item. What chance has a Piggy Bank when they’ve got a Buzz Lightyear Action Figure. Apparently they haven’t caught on that they’ve made the only in-scale accurate Hamm. I have the same issues at mine, they only order like 5-6 and then they sell out, and it takes them a long time to get another shippment.

I can understand them not expecting it to be super popular, but once it is, order alot more. Mine has 3 full walls of clearanced crap that they cant get rid off. some stuff was originally $25 and it’s not $4.99 and they still cant sell it. They have walls of worthless crap in there now, and they dont reorder what actually sells well. I mean, I know they just bought the rights to Power Rangers, but its a little late in the game to try to capitalize on a show from 15 years ago.

hey guys for those who play and put in box for display do you keep the batteries in the TSC buzz when hes in the box for display

1, Actually Disney doesn’t own the rights anymore, Saban bought them back 3 months ago. Expect PR to completely disappear from all Disney stores. I assume they wont be allowed to stock it from now on. Nickelodeon will be airing seasons old and new from now on.

2.Power rangers has had new seasons every year. with the exception of this year when it was canceled breifly (which is why they they went back to Mighty Morphin to squeeze what little money they can, But it’ll be back next year. so while the franchise is is old, its still going, the toys still do well. you cant blame them for taking advantage of it.

Not that it should take priority over something like Toy Story by any means…

where in CA? been looking for TRU with bullseye, but have yet to come across one.

I live in the Bay Area, and i can tell u this, the Bay area has every single TSC including the right head sculpt of Ken and Bullseye. I have every TSC the only problem is the driving 10 minutes to TRUs. We have Bullseyes everywhere.

lucky. the only ones we seem to have down here in so cal are buzz and lotso. gonna try to call some TRUs and see if i can locate one that’s got a least a few so i can inspect/check before i buy. otherwise, i just hope TRU has another buy1get1-half-off special and i can order him online. thanks for the response.

who said the thirty dollar rex was off scale

Anyone with eyeballs?
If you’ve seen it in person, or even in pictures next to another TSC toy you’ll instantly realize it too.

Hey Frontier Queen!! I just picked up two more movie Ken dolls from OKC! As you guys say the hunt is on! From OKC to Portland, go figure.
