well I had a woody that only told me to shut up and stop being loud…so I know what thats like, if hes new best thing to do is take him back to the store, if you have had him more than I dunno a month or so, contact thinkway toys, they will probably replace him for you :>
hey guys just like TTHtv i have problems with my buzz. first let me start off by saying he was like this out of the box. there is red paint in his left eye, stains in his right hand, white paint in one of his purple stripes, a red spot at the top of one of his legs, scratches on his helmet, and at times the communicator, and wings dont function correctly. should i return him for a new one or keep my current one. also do you guys keep the batteries in him when not using him. sorry for the lenthy post but thanks to anyone that helps.
Dont put up with crap like that, take it back of e-mail/call Thinkway for a replacement. what you choose is up to you. you probably have a better chance of getting a defect less Buzz if you go through thinkway, since they hand select them, but if you go the store route it would obviously be faster.
Oh! That was my exact thought when I was contemplating exchanging my Woody with Toys R Us or Thinkway. I mean, if they want your satisfaction, they WOULD try harder and find the best Woody?
It’s just like In-n-out where if you order your burger with different things, the chef will work hard to make it perfect so you will be satisfied, right? Heh, maybe I’m just fantasizing about having a perfect Woody too much!
I dont understand why QC has been so difficult for thinkway maybe its that the toys are recieving individual human treatment and thus human error . i just recieved another woody in the mail from target and he is going back tomorrow morning. i also recieved my final rex and his teeth are not completely painted and my wife says hes going back also. the disney store has 20% off so that will put the pricing right around 50.00 or so.

thanks for the info! i called up tustin and THEY HAD BULLSEYE! woohoo! so i rushed down after work and snatched it up. no QC problems that i can see so far, at least not the glaring ones like eyes right on the eyebrows or the weird bunched up fabric on the neck.
it was a stroke of luck too, i think. the customer service rep said they normally don’t carry the toy in-store (idk if that’s true) but that they received a .com order return that morning. i guess it was meant to be. now i just gotta get rex… waiting for the amazon.com price to go back closer to 45 before i order. just gotta take a chance online since i’ve never seen rex at any store.
another question for those with more exhaustive collections: which slinky dog is the most movie accurate? i know there isnt a TSC version, but i’ve seen some different ones, including one at disney store and then one for $15.99 at TRU. not sure if i wanna get slink, but if i do, i wanna know the best option.
Well when I exchanged through Thinkway (due to sloppy eye paint) the Woody I got back was as perfect as I could possibly ask for.There’s a bit of smudged paint on the top of his head, but I’d be insane to consider taking it back for. They’d probably want to kill me had I asked them again. Point is the replacement was for all intents and purposes flawless. So it is possible. cant speak for everyone else’s repalcement though.
My suggestion would be to bring it to the store, maybe leave it in the car, and scope out the ones in stock first. iI they don’t have any you think you’d want to settle on as a replacement then its a no brainer, go through Thinkway. If there is one you think looks great then consider taking that risk and it might just pay off.
I’m pretty sure there’s an off switch (I didn’t get mine yet). That would make the most of the battery use. If you plan on putting him in storage or not using him for a while, then take them out to avoid corrosion, but we’re talking years for that to happen.

I think all the Slinkys from the Toy Story 3 to the retro one are all the same.
Good thing TRU were out of him yesterday, I’m excited to get one sent to me right from the manufacturers! I called about an hour ago (the guy said it’s 11pm over there…whoops!) and I told him about the rip and he said, “That IS a problem!” which makes me believe that tomorrow when they call me again, I will not have any trouble getting them to exchange my Woody. I’m too anxious to wait and find out tomorrow: will they make me pay for shipping? And will I be shipping his hat, box and stand as well?
I swear, Kyle, I imagined we could break into a factory creating these toys and grab a Woody doll right when it comes out of molding. Then when it’s still hot, change the mold with our hands and close his mouth!
Emailing is just as effective by the way.
As for the mouth, it wouldn’t be as simple as shutting the mouth of hte existing mold, it still would not be accurate because his smile is too curved. his closed mouth smile is very subtle.I don’t think simply shutting it would get you the results you want either.
Does anyone else think Jessie’s pull string sound really… odd?

Recently I’ve entered a competition to win a set of 5 toys from the Toy Story Collection. They are Buzz, Woody, Bucket O Soldiers, Mr Potato Head and Lotso. And I’ve also been saving up my money to get either Jessie or Bullseye. Can you please tell me the good points and bad points about these ones? Thanks.
If I had to spend 50 bucks, would i be better off getting rex or bullseye?
Bullseye for novelty. Rex for intense play and durability. thats my opinion.
@ Kyle: I was at toys R us the other day and this kid had TSC rex out of box outside i ask him if i could do a size comparison took my $30 rex out and they where the same. 
Then either he didn’t have the TSC Rex, or you somehow managed to get a TSC Rex for $30… because I have both and they are nowhere near the same size. - There is also a picture posted somewhere in either this thread or the Replicas thread comparing the 2 side by side.

He is massive in person, I don’t think you compared it to a TSC rex at all.
