I dont see why not. he had it in the movie. He better come with his sifting pan too! If it’s not accurate why would anyone buy it? I am interested to know which prospector personality he will come with.

I think he would come with both personalty, my idea is in his toy mode, he would be the Stinky Pete character from woody’s round up with his 9 sayings, and in his alive mode he would be the prospector, i talk about this with one other user on this thread (don’t recall his name off the top of my head)
Definately the pickaxe, but maybe not the sifting pan (I didn’t notice it until it was mentioned). I think they planned for Woody to come with a sheriff’s badge, too, and possiply, two revolvers, but he didn’t come with anything (maybe that was the way Pixar intended to have it in the final film, but early prototypes included the badge).
And Cleanmonk, that might’ve been me, although I brought it up a whiles back. Though, I think it would be an effective use of the talk-back feature. Maybe not so much evil, but the wise old Prospector we saw earlier.

I wouldn’t want Stinky Pete to have an evil mode… just like Lotso does not. He just comes as the original toy would have.
Zurg of course would have an evil mode… because he was created as a villian toy. But Lotso & Stinky Pete were not intended to be villian toys.
the thing is, there are two versions of the prospector personality.
Lotso merely has two sides. he’s warm and freindly when you first meet him, and his toy mode reflects this.
With the prospector you’d have potentially 3. the crazy Woodys round up goofball, the nice humble old man, then the evil side we see later in TS2.
They could do the same as they did with Lotso in showing only the good side of his real personality. ignoring the side that turns on woody and the gang. as well as have his crazy built in persona.
As for the pick axe, as much as I want to see it, Im not exactly expecting it. safety issues probably prevent this. I’ll be happy if we get the prospector at all. we can always make our our own axe if we really want.

It was me.
The Toy Story Collection toys aren’t suppose to be the toys that we see in the movie (hence why Woody, Buzz, Jessie and Bullseye don’t have Andy written on their feet) so I don’t think we would need an evil Stinky Pete.
He also wouldn’t have to be the personality they put on him in the woody’s round up footage. Hamm for example isn’t actually evil, even though Andy imagines him that way. similarly his interactive mode wouldn’t have to be the goofy self either.
but if it was THE difinitive stinky pete, the toy al had in the movie, just as it was, and how all the other TSC have been, he would just have 9 prospector comic relief sayings and thats it like “There’s gold in them thar hills”. realisticly he’ll probably have more, but i dont see them doing his more dignified voice. He shouldnt say “turn me around jessie” or “I’m doing the box!” Just as buzz doesnt say any non space ranger things, Thats just the way the toy came, and to do a realistic representation, it’s how the tsc prospector should come.
There’s a chance he could have a mix, like Woody, which is good (like “play nice”). He can have his 9 WR sayings, and others from the movie.
also, has anyone got the list of sayings on the back of the box of the prospector’s box?
