Thinkway's Toy Story Collection

i have TSC rex but when i watched the TS1 and TS2, Rex is a very very DARK GREEN and SHINY. or am i just seeing things?

I dont own one (yet) but from my observations from the ones I’ve seen in a local toy store, your points seem on spot. I recall him being darker as well. I don’t know about the shiny part though.

Yes, Rex is meant to be a shiny hard plastic, instead we got a softer, slightly translucent plastic. I don’t think the shade of green is off, it just looks that way since light is passing through it a bit.

Kyle, how do you get Thinkway to respond to your e-mails?

I know i’m not Kyle, but I just contacted Thinkway about Woody’s vest a few weeks ago. The catch is that it took almost a week before I got a response.

Then again, I couldn’t find Jenny’s contact info, so I used the Customer Service email from their website. So, my suggestion is to be patient if it’s only been a couple days, because it’s worth it. Thinkway’s got the best Customer Service in any company. Sorry if i’m stealing your thunder, Kyle… but I just thought i’d throw in my two cents.

They usually only take about 2 or 3 days for me. But I think it depends on how important of a question it is. it also helps to sound intelligent. Not that you weren’t, I haven’t seen your email, but if it looks like your just emailing them a question that randomly popped into your head then your probably going to have to wait longer for a response. If you get one. But yeah, if its about a defect they’ll respond faster than say, a question about any plans for releasing insert character. I try to avoid that kind of question. If they had anything to announce they would have done so more than likely.

Also, I used the same customer service email as bart here. It’s not like people are using her personal email or anything. She just happens to always be the one to respond.

Well, I got streight to the point, and described the defect. I can’t really say how Intelligent I sounded, but I was being sophisticated and serious so I guess that counts.

But I do have a counter fact, I was responded by Eleanor Lee, not Jenny. Not trying to be rude, or anything. Just saying, I’m ussually the lucky one to wait a week. No complaints, though. Like I said, Thinkway always comes through in the end.

That’s the first Ive heard of anyone else responding. maybe they had to hire someone else with the influx of emails lately? or maybe that person was always there, and just slipped under the radar…

I did think it was odd it was always Jenny, but it is the only person Ive ever seen respond, be it in my own emails or other peoples copy and pasted.

I have a question… I’ve bought my toy story collection buzz with nturn his head and speaks relatively quiet… then i went to all those toy shops and they sell toy story collection buzz also without belts, but have head turning feature as I press their buttons… I persume that my buzz is turned into demo mode, while the others are in toy mode, am i right? Or are there two versions of toy story collection buzz, one which doesnt turn his head and the other does?

Sorry for the silliness of my question, since I haven’t really opened and played my buzz yet…

Their all supposed to turn their head, even in try me mode.

Hello Im new here
Im just wondering If i leave my tsc woody, jessie and bullseye on demo mode will that waste the battery. I just find it a hassle to turn them off especially with jessie!

To my knowledge the Demo mode is designed that after about 2 or so minutes they go into Sleep mode to save the batteries in the packaging. That’s why if you, say… Pull Woody’s string in the box, then again right after he’ll say a different phrase, but if you wait a few, he’ll just repeat the same one.

If that’s the case, then you’ll be fine displaying them in Demo mode. I don’t want to tell you wrong, though. So if anyone knows different than me, feel free to correct me. But i’m pretty sure that’s how it works, so that the batteries won’t die in the box.

Purchased Mr Potato Head the other day. This wasn’t a toy I was planning on picking up, but I must say I’m very pleased with him. The only thing that bugs me is his tall legs, but the personality that comes from his face and voice makes up for it.

Have any other UK collectors found Jessie or Lotso at their local Argos btw? I’m hoping one of my local stores will have them in before the 3 for 2 offer on Toy Story stuff expries!

Decided to return my blast off buzz lightyear after two months because I regretted not getting the collection version. There were two left and both were awful. Both had dents in the boxes. One had the window covering buzz’s face removed (he likely tried to escape the abuse), and the other had a piece of the box paper, torn were the u is in buzz. I decided to go with the torn U since that was the lesser of two wrongs.

In addition two soldier buckets were open probably missing pieces. Someones going to be disappointed when they buy one of those.

Anyway, I got the non-belt buzz. Is there any difference besides the belt and a few phrases?

No differences other than what you mentioned. However you shouldn’t tolerate such a bad box! Maybe thinkway can help you out with that

Quick question, and i know its been answered before, but i just finished my Toy Story collection and i wanted to upload pictures, how do i do that? do i get a flickr account?

i reccomend photobucket

try
photobucket.com/
tinypic.com/
photobucket.com/

if you want to save it like on online album i recommend photobucket.com/
you just wanna post them here as soon as you can use tinypic.com/

Flickr is great, I have my own flickr photo site for posting Pixar Planet images. But nowadays, I use tinypic, since it’s much more convenient for simply uploading them.

Ok, so I’ve missed almost all the posts since June 18, but where can I find that Hamm that was (close) to accurate size? I know it’s not TSC, but was it at Disney Store? I need to find it online either way, cause TRU doesn’t have it, and the nearest Disney Store is like…9 hours away. Thanks a ton guys

(close to accurate Hamm is enough for me, since TSC hasn’t manufactured one)
