uploaded some pics in the replica thread. They are the medicom ones, however I don’t know how much they cost as my dad got them for me when I was little in japan
Has anyone noticed anything odd about the TSC army men currently being sold at Disney Stores?
mine were made of a flexible type plastic, the molds didn’t look as clean as they should’ve been, and the poses seem to be different from the ones I’ve seen in reviews.
Now that I look at them, they seem to be of much crappier quality than what I’ve seen and would’ve expected. seems like Thinkway is cutting corners for it’s Disney Store items…
Hello Toy Story fans,
this is my first post in this forum. I’m a 19 years old student from Germany and i’m very interested in the Toy Story Collection figures.
In my local Toys R Us they’ve got Buzz, Woody and Lotso. But in comparison tho the U.S. they are very expensive here. Instead of 50$ what would be around 40€ they charge you 50€ (the American price 1:1). On Ebay (the German Site) the average price for Buzz Lightyear is even around 65€!
All in all the Toy Story Collection figures are still very rare here. I didn’t saw any Rex figure and I believe it hasn’t been released in Germany yet. So you’re very lucky in the U.S. with clearance sales and “3 for the price of 2” offers
My favourite character is Buzz so that’s the figure I’ll go for (first ).
I’m still not sure if I prefer the German version with the voice I know from the movies or the original English version. “To infinity! - And beyond!”, I love it
And for the Woody figure im searching for one which says: “Somebody’s poisoned the waterhole!”. But i read somewhere that the TSC Woody doesn’t have this phrase. Is that true?
The TSC Woody’s US release does not have the “Waterhole” phrase, but has the rest from the first movie, including “Yeehaw! Giddyup, partner. We’ve got to get this wagon train a’movin’!”
But from what i’ve heard, the UK release DOES have the “Waterhole” phrase, so you’d have to check locally in your area if nobody on here is in your region.
So, it could go either way, but if you want an English version, odds are you might not get the phrase. Either way, He’s a great toy so don’t let the lack of a phrase put you off of getting him. He’s still worth it.
Then I stand corrected. Like I said, I was going by what i’ve heard, and i’ve heard wrong. Apparently it’s the Mattel version. Either way, he’s still worth picking up. Thanks, ScarletSnake for correcting me. I don’t want to be spreading inaccurate info.
In my Toys R Us it also costs 50€ like the TSC Buzz.
It has a cool feature: The Jetpack lights up and makes sounds.
But it seems that the wings can’t pop out, they are fixed.

Hello everyone, Does anybody have tips where i can mod a TSC woody into a closed mouth like andys because my grandpa and i would like to know and do it
Yeah It would damage woody beyond repair so i guess i don’t need to do that or i could put something in his mouth like clay and paint it to woodys skin tone but that wouldn’t work
The only possibility would be to heat up his head with a hairdryer, and glue his mouth shut. It most likely wouldn’t work, or would make his head misshapened. But aside from re-sculpting his head, that’s the best tip I can come up with, but it most likely wouldn’t give results like you are looking for.
His head can become flexible enough to try it, though, because he got left in the car once, and I closed his mouth. But it still doesn’t look quite right because of his teeth, and the fact that his mouth is sculpted open.
