^Yeah. I opened my Buzz to remove the helmet. I didn’t actually remove it (I decided against it during the process) but when you open him up the front part of the helmet just falls off like the limbs. The back half doesn’t, but as far as I know it’s not hooked up to electronics.
By the way Kyle, what did you use to write “ANDY”? I used sharpie, but it started to rub off a little after a while.
Do your helmet-on helmet-off electronics still work on your Buzz?
Try using a paint marker. This will cause it not to rub off or fade.
Sharpie here as well. I’m sure it won’t last long for me either.

i guess you guys could spray a clear coat of paint onto buzz’s feet to leave the ink on, or you could try a paint of some source once the ink rubs off.
I have heard of black Sharpie turning purple over time, I hope it doesn’t happen to your Buzz.
It does turn purple, but luckily you can always just wipe it off when its on shiny surfaces like plastic.

It does both. The problem is that Sharpie’s use low grade ink that isn’t truly black in the first place, just a really dark purple, when fresh. As it fades it looks more and more purple over time. Truly black (more or less) ink is more expensive, which I actually do have, but its not really suitable for plasic, I use it to refil my Koh-i-noor Rapidpograph pens.
i got lotso today he is great and really does smell like strawberries now all i need is ub buzz and chunk and sparks then i am on to wave 3

Well actually all you really need is utility buzz because chunk and sparks are not part of the toy story collection.

I know everyone is tired of people making Wave 3 predictions, so I won’t, but I do have a question. If in Wave 3 we do get a Stinky Pete, how many people would leave him in the box? Personally, I’m torn, because for accuracy reasons I’d want to keep him in his box, but at the same time, I really think that I’ll take him out and display him with the other characters, just because I tend to play with them every now and then, plus, I’d want to be able to use all of his features. What are your guys’ thoughts?
He wasn’t truly mint anyway, it seemed to me he had gotten out on a number of occasions in the past, how else would be be able to do it as fast as he did without being detected? I think he had long planned for such an occasion that required him to force an unwilling Woody to stay in the room. and by the end of the movie he’s out and in the open anyway. so I say keep the box, display him if you want like that, but you might as well open it. you can always put it back in later. if you really want a “never been opened” one, buy another.
IF Thinkway made a Stinky Pete and IF I purchased him, I’d keep him in the box for a little while, but then I’d set him free from his cardboard and plastic prison (although I’d probably keep the box for future display possibilities).
I am going to try and get most of the collection for my birthday and christmas but I am buying Buzz in a day or so. I am keeping all the boxes because they went to the trouble of designing boxes for the characters that didn’t have them in the films so I admire them for going the extra mile.
Ok so im debating on getting the utility buzz because i have all 10 of the other characters. Now do you consider having him in the collection completes the collection or do you think by not having him in there it’s still complete as i have the other buzz already and I don’t know if i want to buy the same thing almost. The only real difference is the belt and his sayings. How many people own both?
