He has a Try Me, Off, and Play mode. You need to pull his string once in play mode to stop his interactivity.

I would get Buzz since he is a pretty major player in all three films (at least compared to Bullseye).
But if it’s Woody’s Roudup Gang that you love, then get Bullseye. The other positive for getting Bullseye now is that he seems to be a tad harder to find than Buzz, so if you’re eventually planning on getting both it might be a good idea to get Bullseye now before he disappears completely.
My mom and dad said I can order a Bullseye from online today!!
However, Where do you think I should get it from, Amazon or Toys R Us .com?
One reason Im hesitant on the 50 doller amazon one is because im not sure if it come inside it’s box. (It doesnt show itself inside the box as the picture)
I ordered mine off of Amazon and it does come in it’s box just as if you physically went and bought it at a store. The shipping was free and mine only took a day to get here. (Of course that quick shipping may have just been a good stroke of luck… they shipped it from Dallas, which is only three hours away from me.)

The only reason it wouldn’t come in its box is if it was used.
I just purchased TSC Woody, TSC Rex, TSC RC, and Etch A Sketch from target.com. I live in Rhode Island. How long do you suspect I will be waiting for my items. A week? A week and a half?

My mom ordered Bullseye from Amazon today! And I got an email from Thinkway saying they just sent my new Buzz Lightyear!! I hope I get them on the same day, that would be epic.
Anyway, my next buy is going to be Jessie

Then I will have every TSC except Potato Head (Who I am not getting because Im waiting for the Hasbro one) and bet Buzz (Who I dont want till I have everything else)

Potentially off-topic, but given that Wave 3 won’t be released until sometime in 2011, does anyone think we might see some “refreshes” of the main characters Woody and Buzz in order to generate interest in Wave 3 and to help sell the other characters included in Wave 3?
Obviously, both Woody and Buzz were included in Wave 1. Then Utility Belt Buzz was included with Wave 2 which ensured that there was a “main” character on the shelves together with the other Wave 2 releases. There was also the “Spanish” Buzz variant which was released.
If Thinkway do decide to “refresh” Woody and Buzz, what other potential variations could we see? A screen-accurate Woody (with a closed-mouth) seems like a pretty obvious choice (although it may not be something permitted by Pixar). Or perhaps a “black and white/grey-scale” Woody to mirror his appearance on the “Woody’s Roundup” television series?
And for Buzz, could we see a Mrs Nesbitt with detatchable arm, hat and apron (probably highly unlikely). Or a red and purple “Ultimate” Buzz based on the variant briefly seen during one of the Toy Story shorts included on the DVD with the first film (which itself appeared to be based on Buzz’s original colours). Maybe a “battle-damaged” Buzz to mirror his appearance after the toddler’s had finished “playing” with him in Toy Story 3?
I’d personally be interested in a screen-accurate Woody and a “red and purple” Buzz would be appealing (even if a Buzz didn’t appear in those colours during any of the films).
A lot of those ideas are all good and all, but too much of a niche for wide appeal. they would only appeal to us die hard fans for the most part, not your average kid. Gimicky repaints are done a lot so I could see something like sky runner buzz releasing, but still unlikely, given its only seen in one shot in a little known short. I know theres plenty of repaints that don’t exist, period, I just don’t see that happening.
I think we’ll see plenty of refreshes, it seems to make thinkway the most money, second to Cars anyway. they’ll continue making new toy story varients for years to come. of course how much they appeal to the collectors remains to be seen. black and white versions would be appreciated by the collector, but Im sure research also shows them that kids love bright fun colors, not boring black and white. and they also prefer lively wide open mouth’d smiles.

With a good enough product, I I think it could stand on its own. I mean, all the Buzz variations seen in the Toy Story treat were upgrades with advanced features. Plus, toylines have already done that with Buzz, like Intergalactic Buzz, Intersettar Buzz, etc… Though, I don’t think any of that would really qualify under Toy Story Collection. It would probably just be a generic release like Twitch, Chunk and Sparks.
As far as variations go, I’d love that, but it’s basically unlogical, since the initial release was the money-maker. Most kids wouldn’t care about closed-mouth Woody. I think they’ll just continue selling the power sellers (Buzz, Woody, Green Army Men, Lotso) up until Wave 3.
Hey Howdy Hey!
Hi everybody, this is my first post but I have been following this forum for quite some time. I am very impressed with some of the collections I have seen here. so I decided to post a picture of my own.
I have regular Buzz, Etch, and Woody’s guitar as well and I will be picking up RC next week.
Just to catch up I’ve had to pause my collecting for personal reasons that I can’t share so please don’t ask. But everythings going good. And I would like to welcome all new collectors. I’ve recently added Sparks, Chunk, and Bullseye to my collection. I hope everbody is doing good and I will post pics later.
