Thinkway's Toy Story Collection

What is the most accurate chatter telephone? How much does it cost, and where can i find t?

Original, 1967(?), prices vary, depending on where you find it, and being a vintage item, it’s best found at second-hand sources, like Goodwill, or flee markets.

How tall is the TSC Lotso. I heard 13, and if then, I think the 15 inch tall Disney Store one would be more accurate

SRS the toy story collection lotso is like one inch of he is eye to eye with toy story collection woody

Can someone post a link to the slinky that’s suppose to be pretty accurate to the movie? thanks…

Re: Slinky

I think this is the one most people have (although it may have been re-branded Toy Story 3):

Which I think is the same as this, but different packaging:

My TSC woody Right hand seems to be Coming loose is there anyway i can fix this problem Oh and by the way im getting pics up this weekend that i took of woody and buzz

Dont worry so much, they don’t sell the less accurate one anymore, been off the shelves for many years. any slink you find today in stores, unless its through something like ebay will be the best you’ll get. which isn’t saying much but there you go.

and obviously the smaller slink there is pointless, but maybe you can sell him or something.

Also, I believe they come cheaper than this, but I’m not sure.

I have a question: Can the TSC Buzz Lightyear sit down?

He can but his jet pack is heavy and he might fall over.

He can, if spread his legs enough, or put him on the edge of something so his knees can bend allowing him to keep his balance. You can’t bend his shin’s as much as he does in the movies, because they cheat by allowing the legs to intersect his pelvis a bit. really it just depends on what kind of sitting pose you want.

the first one I had to put his hand back to keep him from falling back. not very natural looking as you can see. you can either prop him up against something like this, or do like I did in the second image here, put him really close to the edge allowing him to lean forward a bit.

Okay, thanks. I’ll be getting him for my Birthday in about 2 weeks.

I asked this on the Last page but it got pushed back My TSC Woody’s hand seems to be coming loose And is there anyway i can Fix this before his Hand breaks off Because a cowboy needs his hand

Welcome to the forums! Also, nice collection. You’ve got all the main characters that are being sold massively.

Also, quick question guys… I picked up a TS3-branded Slink at Target the other day that was on clearance for $10. Do you think I should open him up and put him with my collection? I kept the receipt in case I want to return him. I’m kinda tempted to open him, but I’m a bit reluctant to with his inaccuracies and fear that they’ll put him in Wave 3. Any thoughts? Also, if I decide to, what’s the best way to make the inside of his ears brown?

I recently picked up a vintage Tour Guide Barbie for $2 at a local antique mall. She was missing her hat and shoes, but I made her a hat using origami. Pretty worth it, I’d say. I’ve also recently modded my standard Mr. Potato Head, giving him eyelids, eyebrows, and lips with clay. Might post pics soon. And I’m thinking about going to see TS3 on Ice to pick myself up a Lenny, Buttercup, & Bo Peep. I have the BK Lenny, but I like the on Ice one way better. I wish I could find the Beyond version for a reasonable price, but I don’t see that happening any time soon.

Not to mention, I’m getting Bullseye (and possibly Buzz) for my birthday this year. So, yeah, just a quick question and collection update. I’ll keep you guys posted.

Its up to you. I seriously doubt we’ll get a better slink officially. So if you Must own a slink, might as well open it. Personally I think its so bad I haven’t even bothered with it. No amount of customization would make him passable to me, Sometimes the “hey its better than nothing” excuse just doesn’t fly.

Hopefully I’ll have Tyler’s slink by the end of his month.

Re: Two-pack Slinky

No idea about that one. I think that is yet another two-pack which never saw a release where I live (Australia)

Re: TS3 Slinky

I’m not sure what the chances are of a screen-accurate Slinky being included in Thinkway’s Collection Wave 3. The topic has been discussed a few times in this thread and the general consensus seems to be that despite the inaccuracies, the general release Slinky is “close-enough” and it’s unlikely that Thinkway would release a much more expensive version of Slinky when there is another very similar version so widely available.

But we won’t know for sure until Thinkway announce Wave 3 which may not be for quite a while. As for Slinky’s ears, I think most people just used a brown felt-pen/texta to “colour in” the white underside of his ears. I don’t think anyone used paint, but I suppose some kind of fabric paint would work okay.

Re: Australian Collectors Seeking Thinkway Collection Jessie and Lotso

Both Jessie and Lotso are included in Myer’s latest toy catalogue which starts today for $59.00 each. If you’re a Myer One card-holder, you get an extra 10% off the sale price. The two Myers I visited on the weekend had very limited stock (just a few of each), so I would expect them both to sell out pretty quickly (at least judging from the popularity of both characters at Target’s toy sale in July). I think Myer do “hold” stock, so ringing-around may be one option if you cannot get to a store today.

Re: Australian Collectors Seeking Thinkway Collection Mr Potato Head

K-Mart appears to have Mr Potato Head available for $59.00 (standard, not sale price). It’s not quite as cheap as he was during the recent sales in July (when he could be purchased for $50.00), but it’s not too bad (especially compared to Myer which wants $80.00 for Mr Potato Head (on sale)).

That sucks that you had to pay so much for him. I wish everyone on here had gotten him when he was still at the Disney Store. Being more of a collectible may mean that if you didn’t get him while he was widely available, you’ll never get him… unless you do the eBay thing.

$85 is extreme, but I’ll bet that price just goes up from there, so you were probably smart to order him. I’m glad I got him at $20, but he’s a MUST for any serious Toy Story Collection, so even at $85, he’d be worth getting.

My only regret is that I didn’t have the foresight to buy up a bunch of these. After I had already gotten mine, the Grapevine Mills Mall (Grapevine, TX) had about 20 of them in stock. I could have bought 5 of them and made back that money easily have made about 10 times that. (Or at least gotten myself a spare Hamm… just in case.)

^^^^

I live in hope that either the Disney Store (online) will get in more stock of their Hamm bank (especially as the Hamm bank is once again showing up in the “search results” even though it is “not available”) or that a Hamm will be released by Thinkway as part of their cheaper non-Collection range of replicas (or even a “Collection” figure, although that seems unlikely since he was originally planned to be released as a “Collection” figure but dropped from the line-up).
