Honestly I’m not seeing a difference with the shoes, try as I might. you sure its not just an optical illusion caused by having his “legs” show?
But yeah, I’ll definitely post pics and my thoughts on Tyler’s custom pieces. I just hope there’s enough for those of us who want them, he says he plans to keep this low profile and not do too many.
Oh, and if there is a Mrs Potatohead, I wouldn’t expect them to separate it for that either. they don’t care what she looks like in TS3 due to a missing piece, only what she’s supposed to look like when she has all her pieces. I mean, if they cant even get a fully assembled potatohead looking 100% accurate, theres no way they would be concerned with what a handicapped version of one looks like.
That said, Im not expecting them to do a TSC Mrs.p at all.
If you look at the video say 7 seconds in you can see that the tip of the shoe rises above where the leg goes into the shoe. However in the picture you showed the tip is below that point. Hope that makes sense. It could well be an optical illusion though.
I think I’ll hold off on that for now, I don’t want the guy getting bombarded with people wanting to buy a pair. the eyes don’t even exist yet. I could give his myspace (the only way I know of to contact him directly), but let me check with him first. Trying to respect his privacy here, and since he hasn’t posted it publicly that I know of, and because we don’t know for sure if he’ll follow through with these plans or how many he might make, I think I’ll hold off for now.
Remember, he cant even get started til Mr p comes out, so threes no rush to reserve your pair right now. I’ll keep you guys posted, trust me.
You know if they just fused his eyes together in the movie…we wouldn’t be having this conversation <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/grinandwink.gif” alt=“;-D” title="Grin and
Yeah, but, the Woody dolls look very accurate, my problems with the old previous ones were simply these, #1. His eyes were incredibly horrible looking, especially on the original 1995 ones. #2. Lack of detail on the vest, the sheriff badge is a trademark for Woody, but, on the older ones it just wasn’t significant enough, it just was there, ya’ know? #3. The hats were progressibly getting better and so on, but the hat has been misshaped a lot, and usually awkward looking, Esspecially on the Toy Story & Beyond series the hat was not accurate.
There are some other stuff I could jump on but I wanna know your guys favorite or most accurate previous Woody besides the Toy Story collection now available.
I believe it was Mattel who is also making some toys for the films right? They have a woody doll recently that looks ok to me, but I’ve yet to see anything but press photos

That’s what she said I know we’ve know this for awhile but I just wanted to confirm it. The strange thing is I emailed them about seperateing the eyes and they ignored that part of the email. strange but at least we know he could have seperate eyes.
Hmmm, I’m not so sure but maybe it is possible to use maybe a Dremel tool and separate Mr. Potato Head’s eyes, but it may look a little wierd since he’s moving, but I wouldn’t buy the electronic one, I’ll wait to see if Thinkway will produce a non electronic but film accurate Mr. Potato Head, like they did Rex, because in reality neither of them had electronic features in the first place.
dont count on it, I think the one they recently reissued (the 90s one) is made by them, and I don’t see them doing 3 Mr. potatoheads. I also don’t see how that email alludes at all to him possibly having separated eyes. its not like she put out some cryptic hint, she simply ignored it. maybe missed it altogether. and I believe shes at the point now where shes just copy and pasting that response to everyone who asks.
and Dremeling the eyes isnt a good idea unless you plan to fill the missing parts with your own clay or plastic. its going to look like a cookie with a bite taken out of it if all your doing is separating them.
I made a mistake that was the respose I got to my email Ithought I posted the email I sent but here it is.
Hello I’ve been hearing rumors recently saying that mr. potato head’s eyes are benning seperated and thats why he was delayed to later this year I was wondering if you could confirm this so it would all be cleared up.
Long time reader of this forum and final got round to registering to post.
I’m loving the Toy story Collection.
I’ve got Woody, Buzz, Rex and the Little Green Men. I’ve gotta get the Army Men and saving for RC as he is sooooo expensive. Buzz and Woody took me over my limit on my CRedit Card as I couldn’t get one with out the other!
I can’t wait for the second wave! Mr Potatoe Head looks amazing even with his fused eyes the fact that they aren’t big a bulk like the real MPH. I’ve manage to fashion on from part I got in the basic pack and from the Potatoe Head bar at Disney World. I also have a Slinky I go from Pixar Place in Disney Hollywood Studios. Slinky may not be collection quality but he is about the right size so I’m happy. I don’t know about anybody else but I’m most excited about getting a scale Hamm. I’ve wanted once the first movie came out!
