Thinkway's Toy Story Collection

Toys ‘r’ Us australia doesn’t stock toy story collection it seems to be only Target over here and the American Toys ‘r’ Us won’t ship to Australia or I would buy Lotso and Potato Head from them they are way cheaper than most places online.
On a good note I got Jessie from Target yesterday and Utility Belt Buzz arrived in the mail today.
I had to pay $70 for Jessie but it still beats ebay.
I Like your collection of sealed figures I just need a good display area like you have set up, at the moment mine are just wherever they fit without possibility of dammage.

@ shanesaw

I recently grabbed TSC Mr Potato Head from my local Toys R Us (in Australia) for $50.00.

I don’t think they had any other TSC figures, but you may want to check your local TRU for Mr Potato Head.

I think I might start getting cracking and making pieces for a TSC Mrs. Potato Head, now seeing Thinkway have stopped their line and, I don’t really see Disney making another toy that’s just pretty close to the one that they’re selling!

Love the collection, Toystory21
!

Thanks for the heads up I should be near a toys r us in a couple of weeks I will be sure to check then.

Thanks, as for opening them I’m in my twenties so I should probably not be playing with toys. :wink:

@Toystory21

Lol im just saying, coz for me im also in my 20’s and i also have most of your toys but i took them out from the box ^^ coz like buzz said they dont want to watch kids behind glass (and or boxes) and never be loved! Lol coz i know when i leave my room they all play and enjoy each other so, how can they do that if they are in the box? Well, im just saying coz thats just my wild imagination watching toy story movies countless times ^^ but if you are planning on selling this in the future yes i would suggest to just leave it in their boxes and just to let you know you should take the batteries out if your planning to display them from a long time coz some batteries leak and make mess inside the battery tray and that causes some toy to never worked again.

i have mine how they r in the films for example tsc utility belt buzz i keep in box like they r in the films, i know that they have one out of box in tsp but u know. do u guys keep your batteries in them or not? i am not sure what to do?

I also collect sealed only but I have been divided on whether or not to open all the ones with batteries and remove them as I don’t want them to leak but on the other hand if i sell them in 20 years to a collector with the intent to still keep them sealed would it really matter if the batteries leak if the damage is unnoticable without being opened?

I think I’m going to take his advice and open the boxes carefully. I don’t know if I want to sell them or not, I might just hand them over to my children if I have any. I hate that they added batteries btw.

What I have done is carefully open and leave all packaging in box etc and If I do ever sell them they Can be put back in box how yet were sold

The only ones with batteries are Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Mr. Potato Head, Bullseye, RC, and Lotso for those who have opened their collection are the batteries the same for all?

I only own two Toy Story toys at the moment, and I could never imagine leaving them in their boxes! I understand how some collect them, but as my collection grows, I plan to set them all free from their cardboard prisons! :mrgreen:

Yup! Totally agree with you dude! With or without batteries i always took them right out of the box the moment i received them like for example Bo Peep i mean like what? she is in the box for almost a decade and never smell fresh air. And when i tooknher out i feel like o added little bit smile on her face, lol i duno maybe its just me haha after watching so many times of toy story cant imagine not freeing them in the box/prison ^^ and yes i am also planning to have my whole entire collection give to my future kids ^^ i know my toys are longing to be played! And yes to the one asking you better pull out the batteries and if you still planning to put them back to the box then do it carefully and i can assure you if you are planning to sell it in the future the buyer will be pleased that you did pull it out! Coz like i said when they been stock from a long time without use batteries leak and they cause rust to the spring and that make MOST of the toys dont work, and if im the buyer i would rather not buy the toy or just buy it with a much lower price coz its not working you know what im saying? But anyhows its all depends on the collector, for me im just saying :slight_smile:

@toystory21

jessie has a different small batteries with her

and oh you forgot REX rex also have batteries :slight_smile:

Does anybody here have a built a trixie? you know from buying 5 toys just to built a Trixie? anyway i would like to know whats its height and length? can anybody please tell me? because i am trying to compare it to the Trixie Action figure which has 9’’ length and about 4’’ height so i am thingking that maybe that built a Trixie toy is much bigger so can anybody help me find out please?

im pretty sure its the same exact figure, just sold in pieces instead

I think the Build-A-Trixie is bigger. Here’s a video I found comparing the two:
youtube.com/watch?v=-npuUsbOjO4
Still not movie size, but a nice substitute.

The build a trixie and new disney store 6 inch are same size…thats comparing the pixar tiny one and build a trixie

Oh yeah him too lol but I decided they will be MIB not planning to open them. I have a Zurg that talks and is MIB from Thinkway as well so if he survived I’m sure the rest will as well.
