Thinkway's Toy Story Collection

I think after that special, we can agree that it’s a shame the Battlesaurs and Trixie DIDN’T get made.

Ugh… I want battlesaurs. The full set

Hi All,

I have a complete collection (UK based) but can’t decide what to do.

I’m pretty sure if I’m going to keep them I need to remove the try me batteries? And then that makes me feel a little sad to have them in sealed boxes inside their boxes in dry storage somewhere!

Do you think I should sell them? If so, what are they worth (£ if possible). Are they going up in value - will they ever be worth mega bucks?

Thanks all

Toy Story Fan

Indeed, they are already very valuable. Prices are still on the rise for these guys, so unless you’re simply not interested anymore, I’d keep em. It seems like the secondary characters are actually the most valuable, since Buzz and Woody became pretty common. Rex and RC, for example, are some of the more sought after in the collection.

The only reason you’d want to remove batteries is potential battery corrosion, which wouldn’t occur until way down the line. Still, if you intend to keep them in storage a while, it’s something to consider. If the boxes aren’t sealed in any way and can be put back to the way they were, go for it. While being sealed is more valuable, something like cutting tape to remove it from the box once won’t take too much of a dent out of the value. It’s up to your discretion.

Does your Rex speak English? Of so, I would be willing to pay about 75-150 for it. I unfortunately missed out on it when it was first available. How much do you want for utility belt Buzz too? I understand if you don’t want to sell them either.

Hiya,

Thanks for the offer - they seem to be selling well on Ebay, so I’m not too worried about being able to sell them on if you know what I mean. These two are the most expensive sold recently:

ebay.co.uk/itm/1ST-EDITION-D … 46264e9f5c (seems to have gone for 275)

ebay.co.uk/itm/Toy-Story-Col … 20eff6b443

My worry is they won’t go up in value from where they are currently - or the try me batteries might leak?

What do you think.

Alright, so I know I’m not supposed to double-post, but something just came in the mail. (Wait, didn’t I say that before about Bo Peep? I must be having Deja Vu) Anyways, my birthday’s tomorrow and my presents must’ve came today. I asked for the '95 Woody and Buzz from eBay. They both came in 1 auction and for only 50 bucks! 50 bucks ain’t bad! haha. Anyways when I lifted up the package I heard a voice in there say “Buzz Lightyear to the rescue!” haha. can’t wait for tommorow!

lucky you… :imp:

The Toy Story Collection Buzz Lightyear is an awesome toy. Just wish it wasn’t so fragile and back heavy.

Hi Guys, remember me, well I think not :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, anyways, here in my country (Chile) They stocked in stores the TSC Rex for the first time ever, sure, he talks spanish, but is a gorgeous TSC Rex.

But there’s only 2 problems with them…

1-. He is Overpriced (97 dollars)

2-. I only saw them in my country, and I haven’t heard reports of being re-stocked in the US :imp:

So, I have to say something to thinkway…

Their distribution sucks in US

Bye everyone <3

I think I know what you’re talking about. Today, while browsing on eBay, I came across this:
ebay.com/itm/Toy-Story-Rex-r … 43d58547ed

Hopefully this will be released in the US!

I hope so PixarDude

and also, how expensive that Rex is on ebay (I would like to bring to everyone a Rex, but I don’t know how many $ I would need to ship to United States, and btw, im 14 years old, so there’s another problem)

¡Saludos!

I am so frustrated right now!!

So about a week ago I was putting the TSC Jessie’s hat on. I put the strap on her neck and when I put the hat on her head, the part that connects her head to her battery compartment broke off. The wires still worked though. However I was trying to connect it back on and the wires came loose. So, of course I called customer service on Friday. I told them about what’d happened and they said they’d call back on Monday.

So Monday comes around and I told them what happened. Thinkway told me it might be the battery pack. I tried doing what they told me an it didn’t work. Then they told me to read off the number on the back of her tag and they said it was too old to repair. So now I’m stuck with a broken Jessie

I understand that it’s an older toy but the newer toy is the exact same toy as the older one, just with a rebrand. So now it looks like I’ll have to buy a new one.

i told you guys (albeit in another thread) that toy companies ditched us for !^$#*%. god, WHY? that darn overrated movie. i spent my ticket money on seeing something else in protest. IM STICKIN’ IT TO THE MAN!

 how could this happen.

It’s fine now. I bought a loose one on eBay. But still, why can’t they replace it if it’s the same figure? It doesn’t make any sense other than they want to make money, but Thinkway Toys usually cares about their customers. Or so I thought

toldga they ditched us.

and, if i may add, (you don’t have to answer that, though) how muchd ya pay?

Hi folks. First post for me but I’ve been admiring your collections for a while. My 2 year old boy is utterly obsessed with Toy Story (impeccable taste!) so I thought that would be the perfect excuse to start my own collection. Only started in December but I’m really pleased with it. Just took delivery of my large Evil Dr Porkchop spaceship today and it’s great. The TSC Pricklepants is on his way to me now too. I really want the TSC aliens as they’re the proper size but they’re a bit expensive. Can’t find any for less than around £80. Considering they don’t actually do anything that is a bit steep for me. There are lots more characters that I’ll need but they’re just so rare or not available at all (why no movie scale Trixie???)

What do you think of it so far?

Looks good, man! Anyways, I saw them selling single sets of the Aliens at Toys R Us Express last month at the mall. These are the same sculpt as the TSC figures, but sold alone. Anyways, if you’re looking for the Aliens Toys R Us might have them. While I didn’t get the price, they’re certainly cheaper than £80 (that’s outrageous). We’re expecting a re-release of the main cast as well this year, so the Aliens will probably be included, if you want to wait and see.

And everyone wants a Trixie, but it’s a shame that there’s been no releases. People on this board have made some decent customs, though.

I’m in the UK, and our Toys R Us stores really only sell the …Time Forgot range now. They got rid of the older ones a long time ago. The site has a pretty limited range too sadly (although I have ordered the TSC Pricklepants from ToysRUs.com for a total of £26 (incl international postage) so I was pleased with that.

There are single aliens on their site for around $15 each I think, but it states that styles may vary and there’s no way to make sure you get all 3 different expressions. So I wouldn’t want to order them from the site and have 3 of the same alien delivered. I just know that would happen to me! Hopefully I’ll be able to get them soon.

Oh, and I love the custom work that some people here do. That’s a real talent!! I’ve seen some amazing figures. Is it someone on here that made the Troikas? You’d never know they weren’t produced professionally, they’re amazing. I did see a full size Trixie on here at some point too, which I was incredibly jealous of!
