Has anyone tried replacing the ring from Woody’s pull string with an accurate smaller one? The closest I’ve found to an accurate ring is the ring from the Yo-Yo Ball. It’s perfect in size (one inch in diameter), except that it’s yellow instead of white:
I’ve tried painting it white, but the paint just flakes off.
Anyone know where to find a ring of the same size but white?
I plan to eventually, when I have some spare cash.
I dont know about replacing the string itself, Im not really confident enough for that, but the ring I think I can manage. theres probably a site somewhere you can just buy them by itself. will take some hunting though.
mancub, I believe thats the same hamm we’ve talked about already, if it is its too small in scale.
20 cm long would be much closer to scale. The one I have (which is the same size as the original Thinkway Hamm) is 6 in. long, which is just barely over 15 cm. 20 cm. is nearly 8 inches. If you order it, you might post the exact length and heigth on here.
Terible Terible Terible Terible Terible news my right artm on my potato head’s peg broke off but i just emailed thinkway so hope fully i could get a replacement. pray for me.
Oh I feel Sorry for your Potato Head and wish you get a replacement. I just don’t get how the peg can break off. How did it happen and sadly does this mean that he is fragile!? I sure hope not, I haven’t even got him yet and i really wish this doesn’t happen to me! I could never handle it!
Has anyone had this problem with TSC Buzz where one of the wings doesn’t extend all the way when you open them up, cause I was just noticing that with mine today.
Hes kinda top heavy and i had him on my shelf i thin he fell on his side and it just snaped now I have to wait on my review on him i was gona do it tomorow.
Thats a shame
They should have never made him electronic, How can you play with a fragile potatohead? there appeal is them loosing there pieces, i don’t want to have to worry about his pegs breaking
Tyler1995, he is a new member, why not kindly let him know? Its much more effective than jumping on somebody for every mistake they make. If anyone, lets the mods handle it if it is seen as an issue.
Thanks Lone Star. I think you are right, 20cm would be much closer to scale than any Hamm we have seen so far. Also, according to the store this Hamm is a 2010 release, so he is the latest that I know of.
I went back and compared him with the infamous “Hamm on the table” and it seems that this Hamm is much smaller. The Hamm in the photo looks like he is almost three times as long as Mr Potato Head.
The Target site gives Mr Potato Head’s width as 6" already (approx 15cm) and his length (including armspan) as 12" (apporx 30cm). Given that R.C is 17.5" long, I think an accurate Hamm needs to be at least 17" (approx 43cm) long.
With this in mind it looks like my Hamm find is pretty far off scale, although still possibly the closest available right now.
