Actually I heard people at thinkway were trying to get the articulated jaw back in there (this was a while ago, though, they might have given up at this point), but yeah don’t count on it. the chances are still pretty slim. You can pretty much blame most inaccuracies on safety concerns, from the Rex’s jaw to Mr potatohead’s legs and joined eyes.
I would say there is no chance of them making a ken or barbie, that’s just not their thing. the original animal lovin ken would be your best bet.
It’s a shame the designs of Rex and Mr Potato Head have been impacted by “safety” concerns when it appears that they are primarily aimed at “adult/older” collectors.
I guess I’ll just grab Mattel’s Mr Potato Head (which at least doesn’t have any “legs” and has a functioning storage butt) and hope that Mattel also release a Rex that is in-scale (or close to it) with a functioning jaw.
But potato head is still great and you can modify it like unskrewing him and shaving down his legs pls he comes with angry eyes he’s still way better then hasbros.
I wouldnt count on anyone making an articulated jaw’d Rex, they would have to abide the same safety regulations as thinkway. so unless you’d settle for a plush Rex I dont think we’ll see any from anyone.
And as much as the innacuracies with Mr potatohead suck, its still undenyably more accurate than any other ol Mr potatohead. at least when it comes to asthetics. and as mentioned with some mofifying you could fix a lot of the problems yourself.

Same Toy Fair picture we’ve seen, just a different angle. Check out Disney Pixar’s Facebook profile for more Toy Fair 2010 and TS3 Toys Pics.
It seems pretty unorganized at this point, seeing as Jessie and Mr. Potato Head were due for Wave 1. I think it’s just going to be single releases, which I don’t have a problem with.
I also like the packaging for the new Buzz, especially the ‘NEW Utility Belt’ sticker.
Are you gonna get it? I’m still unsure of myself
If i do get it, I’ll probably leave it in the the box
and i think the label is the only thing different from the original Buzz package
I’m waiting to see if John Lasseter makes a review of it. It looks good so far, however, I’m not looking for an exact clone of the original Buzz. One thing that they could make better is giving him thinner wings so that his backpack isn’t so heavy. Maybe some new quotes by him, and I’m sold.
I have the first belted Buzz by Hasbro (I think), but that belt was only for show. Let’s hope the new one can do some of the stuff seen in the movie. Though tackling that magnetic climbing gear may be difficult.
Mr potato head was intended for wave one, but not Jessie that I know of.
we know Mr. p was, just from the initial picture, but Jessie was always planned for wave 2.
so after being on the phone for like 30 minutes, disney tore employess from each store in my entire state has told me the same thing. Tey havent seen them in the store and that they are not included in some book that shows them all the upcoming items they will carry.
