Thinkway's Toy Story Collection

Separated brows should be doable with some kind of adhesive that doesn’t leave a sticky residue. I’m not sure exactly what I’d use off hand, but I’m sure it can be done. I think it’d look worlds better if done that way. Something about the wya it is now seems off. but maybe it wont be as bad once your able to move the eyes closer.

Thanks for the tip…I just cut off the pegs, and hot glued them into a better spot. You were right…while not perfect still, this is definitely much better. And I am satisfied with the eyebrows personally. I think eye position was the issue. Thanks.

Oh My God wampar that is so completely amazing! Love your work, that truly is the definitive Toy Story Collection Mr. Potato Head!

If you wouldn’t mind, I’d really appreciate if you could join my DIY PIXAR Group for custom Pixar Builds @ www.reachsites.com/diypixar . We’d really love some more pictures please!

Just send me a message once you registered and I’ll approve you.

Ahh, much better. While I still plan to get me some custom eyes with separated brows, this isn’t bad either. for the first time he looks like the character he’s supposed to be. Many might be satisfied with something off here and there, but it never quite reached that point yet for me. and its always amazing how the slightest adjustments to a face can change everything.

One more thing that kinda bugs me about him, his shoes are too straight, you can do what you want with yours, but does it seem like turning the shoes outward a bit would be possible before you re attached them to the legs? I’d like to do that with mine. would look less mechanical.

Edit: Would you mind posting him with the other mouth? I’d like to see what that looks like.

Dangit I want a Mr. Potato Head and Hamm!

I actually like his feet being so straight forward. I prefer to keep my TS toys very presentational. His feet facing forward stiffly makes me feel that he is trying hard to stay in toy mode while I am around so that I wont realize that he comes alive when I step out. Cheesy, yeah…oh well.

and the other mouth:

If I was interested, how much might you be willing to sell a second pair of custom eyes? I’d love to get my hands on a set for myself, just as long as they aren’t too expensive.

Also, any possible consideration for remaking his Angry Eyes?

Thats fine, Im just asking if it would be possible, like would they not fit onto the legs any other way than straight?

And thanks for the other pics.

Does anybody know when we will get wave 2 in the UK. Im impatient and totally will freak out if wave 2 does not hit London shelves. Over here the only place to get wave 2 is toys r us and rarely the Disney store. I wont struggle to get wave 2 cos they ALWAYS have wave 1 cos the toy story collection is not as popular as the USA.

I love looking at these custom Potato Heads.

This would probably be even harder, but has anyone yet thought of hollowing him out from the inside so his parts can be stored inside him again? That’s probably the one element to him that’s missing.

Once I get mine, I’ll probably try doing something like that. But it depends, I really love the fact that it’s Don Rickles’ actual voice as the spud this time.

I know what you mean. It’s great that he talks, but to do that he needs batteries so unfortunately you can’t have batteries and all those inner workings inside him and still store his parts at the same time. It’s the same reason why TSC Buzz couldn’t have karate chop action to go with everything else he does and why Thinkway had to make a separate Buzz that only did that.

Would anyone buy him if he didnt have electronics - electronics or not I want him

does anybody have a picture of thier collection they could send me

or a picture of the toy story collection jessie

and also does anybody have a picture to compare the old and new woody

Man, awesome work!

Awesome work, if its not to much trouble could u make a picasso for face at of him, i’d love to see an authintic version of it XD

Wampar, your custom Mr Potato Head looks brilliant! You definitely have inspired me to do the same when I eventually get a Mr P of my own…

Could I just ask you a few questions about the sculpey you used? First off I had never heard of it but I looked it up. Did you use coloured sculpey or just paint on top of the white one? I have been looking online and see that you can buy it in Mr P’s skin tone, white and black but you mentioned painting, was that just for his pupil or did you paint his eye lids too? Also what type of sculpey were you using?

Either way it looks seemless and the pupils are so round - really great work! Thanks for your help in advance.

Wampar, you should the eyes to leave out the clay look and are you going to be selling them

That’s just beautiful! I’ve never seen Potato Head look so amazing!! I wish I could get eyes loke those for my Potato Head!

Oh, yeah…the way that I did it that would be totally possible. The end of the leg does have a peg that only fits into the feet one way. But I cut that portion off, and hot glued the “nubs” that were left into the main hole of the shoe. So, you could position them in anyway that you want. You might want to support the potato on the front and back until the glue dries though if he is a little unstable because the hole is a little larger than the legs themselves.

I use the white sculpey and paint it. I find it easier rather than worrying about shaping each individual shape in their sperate color and connecting them. Also, I think that making them from one color and painting is more accurate because that’s what the toy manufacturers do when something is one solid piece.

Sculpey is the actual brand name of the stuff I use. I got it at Walmart.
