Me and my family are going to see it first thing on the morning of the 18th.
June 18 will be a great day. Here is what Iām gonna do.
Wake Up.
Eat Breakfast.
Look at showtimes for āToy Story 3: The IMAX 3D Experienceā
Pick which one.
Play some of the TS3 Game (planning on not starting story mode till I see the movie)
Go See TS3
Make A Review
Go Out And Eat Somewhere Downtown, havenāt planned where yet.
Go To āMy Dear Discoā Concert (a local band in my town)
Start The TS3 Video Game Story Mode
Go To Bed
Lol, itās kind of hard to believe that we are only about 2 weeks away from the big day!
My plan is like this:
Go to see Toy Story 3 in Digital 3D
Then after itās over stay for one more show.
After the movie is over the second time roundā¦ go get some pizza.
If I want to see the movie again then Iāll watch it online since I donāt have money to be blowing on the theaters every week.
Iām going with my boyfriend to see it. We might take his nephew, but we might wait till a later date since he might not want to sit through two shows. I also want to see it in Imax, but my theater only has one Imax screen so it might be taken up by Shrek or be waaaaaay to packed. Itās better for me to go the digital 3D one anyway since I can stay for as many shows as I want.
My plan is basically to watch TS and TS2 with my best friend and possibly other friends if they can come, go out for pizza, and go see Toy Story 3! Unfortunately the closest IMAX screen is about 2 hours away, but my grandparents are taking me the next weekend!
Me and another friend plan on going to see it the day Eclipse comes out too, since there will likely be a lot less people going to see TS3 that day, and we can enjoy it in peace and quiet (my theater tends to get loud, especially if thereās a lot of people packed in there.) I honestly canāt believe how close the release date is though- it seems as if Iāve been looking forward to this forever, and now itās right around the corner! Crazy stuff, man.
I was gonna see it on the 24th (Iām in Australia), but my friendās birthday is on the 26th, so him, two other friends and I are watching the Blu Rays of TS & TS2 at his place, then going to see it in 3D.
My plan?
Iāll wake up around 8-ish, a normal time for me during the summer. Chill out all day, maybe watch TS and TS2 if Iām feeling really up to it, and then Iāll have my mom drive me to our theater that night. Idk if she wants to see it with me or not, but I plan on being there opening night no matter what.
Hopefully by then I should have my TSC Lotso, so Iāll bring him along for the rideā¦should be interesting to see kids reactions when I carry him out of the theater once the movie is over, haha.
I know Iāve been told this before but when is the UK release date? July 21stā¦?
Yes it is Ashley! 45 days! So long when you compare it to 12 days (June 18th) but they will pass quickly, Iām sure. I canāt wait!
Iām sooo angry right now! In sweden they changed the release date from 27 july to 27 AUGUST! 82 days, yayā¦
Thatās horrible, JJejja! I canāt imagine why they would need to do something like that either- who pushes the release date a month behind when the film is already finished?!? That makes no sense.
That sucks, JJejja. Seems strange that theyāve changed the release date at this point in time, just seems a bit late in the day to be messing around with release dates.
I knowā¦ Iāve tried to ask them why they chagned but they just said that theyre not finnished wih the swedish dub.
Ah, I see. Well, I guess thereās a positive side to this- theyāre obviously trying their best to make the Sweidsh dub as good as it can be, so though you may have to wait a bit longer to see Toy Story 3, Iām sure itāll be worth it.
Haha, unlucky to Jjejja, and yes to what lizardgirl said i agree, and also youāll appreciate it more if you have had to of waited longer for it.
Thanks for that. Iāll begin carving the hash marks into my wall now!
Is anyone else from outside of America avoiding this place and any Pixar-related places like the plague during the bleak period known as ātheyāve seen it and I havenātā?
Yup, I am too, Ashley. I havenāt been avoiding the boards as such, just been trying my best to avoid any possible spoilers whatsoever. Itās been difficult!

I can remember doing the same for Up and that was about six months. Why do you do this to us Disney?
Must remember to book the 21st off work
Wonder if the IMAX in London will be showing it.
I never really understood why Disney, and other companies, leave a gap between a filmās release in North America and Europe. For countries that need dubbing, I understand that they need time to dub the film, but English speaking countries such as England donāt have that problem. And with such a highly anticipated film, thereās an even greater risk of spoilers leaking out to those that havenāt been able to see the movie yet. Not to mention the number of fans that could get tired of waiting and just watch the movie online, which means lost revenue. I think it would make more sense if they just tried to release Toy Story 3 at around the same time in Europe and America. =/
That said, my mom just happens to have the 18th off, so weāll either be going to the midnight showing, or a day showing on the 18th depending on how tiring work is for her on Thursday. We plan on arriving an hour, or half hour early to get good seats, since IMAX tickets sell out really quick at our theater. We donāt want a repeat of the last time when it was a miracle we found two seats side by side at all.

Typically they seem to try and coincide them with the school holidays, which is why TS3 isnāt released until 21st July here Iām guessing (kids break up around then). Similarly Princess and the Frog was a few months behind because they waited for the February half term (and skipped Christmas presumably because they figured it would get ignored). Ponyo suffered a similar stalled release.
However that doesnāt explain why Up was released in May in America and October in the UK, there was a half term and a six week holiday during that period!
Besides, Iām not a child and I donāt have to rely on the school holidays, release them earlier!
Its getting closer and closer and Iām getting more hyped each day
