I’ll be in my seat in just 8 HOURS. I’ll be going “dark” in a couple of hours, so I can avoid any last minute spoilers, and besides, I’ll probably be in line at around 9 pm. 
I will admit, there was a time when I had my doubts about this. I missed the “discovery” of the brand new original Pixar film of the year, this was a sequel, it felt like it was going to be sprawling and cluttered, especially compared to the perfectly, tightly constructed “Up,” I figured it would be good but I wasn’t expecting a life-altering Pixar experience.
Now, I’m excited! I feel like I’ve had just enough spoilers, but not too many (I have such a hard time staying spoiler-free when there’s so much discussion going on). I love the clips I’ve seen of several of the new characters, and we know from most of their films before Wall-E and Up that Pixar can handle a huge cast of characters successfully.
As Ken would say, this is going to be FAR OUT!

Toy Story 3 is officially out in theaters on the east coast! 
It’s officially in the midwest. Toy Story 3 is in theaters.
Turns out, I don’t have to wait until the 24th, I’m going to an advanced screening on the 19th.

Newsflash for all you UK people…
I can confirm that Toy Story 3’s release date is now pegged to July 19th…
Weird, I know. Theater releases are always on Fridays or sometimes Wednesdays, but the 19th is a MONDAY! Strange. But don’t think it’s fake, because:

I was walking by the Disney Store today (the windows were CRAMMED with TS3 goodies!) and it said on a little poster that it was coming on the 19th.
Anybody else think this is really weird? Monday releases…hmm.
Well, the good thing is that it’s 10 days away now! And it comes out exactly a week after my birthday!

But a Monday release? Why on a Monday and not a Friday like it should? Who decides when Pixar films get released in international countries?

UPDATE: Yep, Toy Story 3 is set for Monday 19th July. I just checked it out on IMDb, and it turns out a lot of movies are being released on different days of the week, not just Fridays…interesting. Must be a new thing now. I’ll accept it. 
Yeah, it does seem strange, but hey, the sooner the better!
6 days left, UK Toy Story fans! Can’t wait! 
Yay! I’ve already got all of my best friends on board to see it on the 19th, and we’ve decided to go for a 3D showing. Can’t believe we’re going to be seeing it in less than a week!
I hope you people in the UK have a great time! I’m just waiting for my local theater to get Toy Story 3. It’s taking forever for him to get rid of Eclipse. But the poster’s back on display, that’s a good sign!

lizardgirl- You’re so lucky! You get to see it the first day it comes out! Feels envious As for me, I have to wait at least a week before I can see it because my friends who wants to see it with me goes on holiday next week. We might take the train to Birmingham to see it in IMAX- my town doesn’t have an IMAX cinema, and that one’s the closest. If not, then normal 3D will do me just fine. As long as I see TS3, I’ll be happy!
