I’m assuming that last poster we got isn’t the last one, because I found this on pixar.wikia.com . It’s cute.
I’ve also noticed that in every other picture involving the toys in the daycare, they are either confused/scared or happy when they first look around. It’s like they can’t make up their mind.
Edit: If I’m right the person who posted it on pixar.wikia, originally found it here.
I love this new poster too, especially the close up on Woody and the Aliens. However I’m not sure comedy is the most accurate term to describe this film. I was thinking more like a Dramedy based on the trailers but YMMV.
In my opinion, no Pixar films should be advertised as a comedy (except maybe the original Toy Story, Monsters, and A Bug’s Life). But whatever, as long as it gets ticket sales it goes.
I personally like this poster better. Even though the US poster catches your eye a bit more, this one would be more pleasing to look at as a poster (in a bedroom such as mine) in the long run. Would’ve been neat if they had the shadows of one or two new characters in the foreground as well.
Neat poster. I’m still annoyed they have to keep reminding us who they are (Yeah, it’s been fifteen years, and you’d think most of the moviegoers would’ve known this studio by now).
I like the fact that Rex, Barbie, Hamm and the LGM are the only ones with happy looks on their faces. I think Woody is supposed to be frightened, hence the ‘knees-knocking’ pose.
And I like how Buzz is shielding Jessie with one arm as if to protect her. Always the chivalrous space ranger.
I dont think it looks odd at all. he’s scared stiff. its a lot better than the borring poses were used to seeing with everyone smiling. Whats also great about thsi pose is that it takes up less space, so it allows the other charcters to have more space within the composition.
