Toy Story 3 Video Game.

i don’t know thats the question i’ve been trying to figure, man i would love to run around as mr. potato head XD

It looks good but those shots won’t be actual gameplay footage. They look like cut scene footage. I just hope they do the film justice. Movie tie ins are normally awful.

Just got Nintendo Power. Surprisingly, not even a mention.

Anyways, when it comes to cutscenes, I also hope they handle that like Toy Story 2, where scenes are taken directly from the movie. That way, it doesn’t drift too far from the movie.

Actually, they are in-game, but these are screenshots from the 360 and PS3 version. The Wii/PS2 version won’t look quite as good.

No, he’s probably right, some of those are too good even for PS3/360. and their also angles that you wouldn’t play in. Not to mention there should be a HUD of some sort in game. They probably are using in game assets though.

I can’t see them being gameplay shots. How many kart racers have a camera angle like the Buzz photo? No on screen info like a life bar or items. Don’t get me wrong, I hope the graphics are that good in game.

Kyle beat me to the reply

Hey guys, I think I found the interview that’s in the magazine on their official site.
While they don’t really go into the game side of things much beyond “we learned a lot from Pixar while doing this” there is some interesting stuff on the last page from one of the original designers of Buzz and woody, and some of the reasons behind certain parts of buzz’s design. and how they used Power Rangers toys to help with articulation.

who wants a trailer??? http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/gamesblog/video/2010/apr/23/toy-story-3-game-trailer via Lee’s twitter

It looks bonkers. There seem to be elements from TS mania in there. Can’t wait to get my mitts on it

Liking what I see quite a bit. I still really want to see how the Wii version is shaping up though.

Maybe too good for 360 but I doubt it’s too good for PS3. PS3 games don’t use its full potential in graphics because 360 is slowing it down.

Gameinformer Magazine did a whole three page spread about this game. Six pages of Toy Story 3 goodness. I’ll see if I can scan it.

anyone else notice Lotso at 0:46?

I have the mag as well. An interesting read, if I do say so.

Has anyone posted this video yet?

Woody is riding a green dragon somewhere in the middle. :3

EDIT: Gah, someone already did post it, but this one is of a better video quality, so neh.

Found a 720p version.

Edit: Game informer talks about the game’s development in this podcast.

Just started listening but it seems good so far.

Edit2: wow, awesome, apparently that Zurg level we saw in the canceled version made it into this game.

Can someone please scan or find scans of this 5 page spread? I’m dying to read it, but I’m not willing to buy the mag just for that.

This site has a bunch of nice new screenshots. The TS2 intro inspired level looks great.

I only have 2 complaints: they laid the bloom effect on a bit too heavy if you ask me, and that dresser in Andy’s room isn’t very accurate.

cool but sad news for those who don’t have a PS3 (like Me) http://www.stitchkingdom.com/disney-news/movies/toy-story-3-video-game-offers-playable-zurg-minigames-exclusively-playstation-3/ + a short trailer for zurg - YouTube

At last, a good reason as to why I spent a fortune on a PS3.

LOL, I love that Zurg trailer (probably the first time I’ve seen Zurg interact with Woody and not just Buzz). So cool that he’s in this game! Doesn’t seem quite fair though that he’s only in the Playstation 3 version cause I’m more of a Nintendo guy myself.

Oh, and look what’s in one of the backgrounds:
