Toy Story Replicas (No trading-related posts please)

they are perminately in the shell, but im sure someone could mod them to be removable

Like he said, Yes. They are “Permanantly” attached. Hasbro presumably did this for safety reasons, but later switched to the current arms so they were removable, which allowed for more creativity, but meant they couldn’t be posable. So it was a trade off. The permanantly is in quotations, because someone with an extra set of arms and a good cutting tool could probably put pegs on them. That’s what I want to do if I can ever get my hands on a mid-80’s Potato Head.

I have a mr potato head when bendable arms, I was thinking of cutting the arms off the potato but the problem is if i do that the arms will not fit in my collection series mr potato head.

i dont know if you can kinda widdle down the brick of rubber thats in the body to fit the tsc potato, but you can try. by the way, if anyone wants a bendy arms set, try and find one that is nearly mint condition, because my arms area little worn out in the wire, but they still bend good

I still say the old bendy arms are far too thin to be on model of the Toy Story version. they look like spaghetti noodles.

I don’t see it. I guess they could be longer, but in that comparrison, they look to be the same thickness.

The Pizza Planet Truck

The Garbage truck

I don’t think they’d fit due to scale and not being toys, but where’d you get those?

on this dutch site: lepetittom.nl/contents/en-us/d24.html

The Snake figure in this set isn’t close to scale, is it?

Nope, its not.

I’ve seen the Garbage Truck at my Target, and it’s kind of like an epilogue because you push Lotso and he says things like [spoil]“I don’t care what I did, I don’t deserve to have bugs in my fur” and “I USED to smell like strawberries”.[/spoil]

Darn, that’s what I thought. :frowning:

Seeing as the figure is said to be 6" in the description, the size of the snake is quite obvious…

I’ve seen it too. I’m not to big on the garbage truck, but I love that Pizza Planet truck. Looks like it’s from the same company. If I found one, i’d snatch it up. But I don’t like the dots on the top of the back half of it, though… But other than that the weathering looks really nice for mass market.

Wow. Look at that collection! Can we see some more pics? A reenactment?
Suggestions:

  1. If gonna go as far as Sunnyside characters, remember that they’re some classic toys there, including the easy lego characters.
  2. Some characters are based off things, but others come straight from actual toys (see my what Toy Story characters are based off topic for more). The monkey looked exactly the same as the toy it was based off, so just get one of those for the monkey.
  3. The train in TS3 (real-life) was an actual lego set, but I don’t know which. Though that’s from the page which said Chuckles was in TS1.

Hey Wampar, what torso do you plan on using for sids bug looking toy?

Andy’s train looks to be an early 80’s-90’s model. I’ve found some similar, but no matches. If anyone else wants to try, peeron.com is a great place to start.

Alright guys, I REALLY need a correct Ken. I can’t find him anywhere! If anyone can help me please PM me. I’m desperate!
