Dude, I’m not an idiot. I didn’t mean to repost that. Calm down
I didnt call you an idiot. I thought it was intentional, I was wrong. I apologize.
No problem. Thanks for your fast reply by the way.
This is kind of a good deal. Missing ascot and those shoes are wrong, and the ken might be the wrong mold, but its an ok shot.
Did Andy ever write his name on his other toys foot?.. Or does Woody,Buzz,Jessie, and Bullseye the only ones who have his name on their shoes?
That’s all we know of.
Oreo 94, the Ken has the wrong head- the one in the auction isdated 1987 or 1988. Either way, TS3 had Ken with a 1983 head. But still its a nice outfit. I may have to look into that… -Omar
So I finally called Mattel and spoke to a Barbie rep about the Ken and Barbie 2 pack. She told me that Mattel was not able to produce enough sets to meet the demand and that is why they have seem to disappeared from the shelves, She went on to say that they are definitely still in production and that we should see them back on the shelves soon. Apparently they get calls about this daily and I was already the 3rd or 4th today. And about the two different versions of Ken, she told me that the inaccurate version was retired and all sets from here on out will be the movie accurate version. So I think it is only a matter or time that the stores will be filled with the correct sets!
thanks Oklahoma’s Man of Steel!! i was waiting for this news for so long…
Andy’s train looks to be an early 80’s-90’s model. I’ve found some similar, but no matches. If anyone else wants to try, peeron.com is a great place to start.
Try brickipedia. Unless you’re talking about the very minor train from TS1.
Can someone post a pic comparing the non-accurate Ken head to the accurate one? I’m considering getting a set when they come back out with the accurate version. My niece has the set, but I don’t know which Ken she has, but it’s probably the non-accurate one.

Brickset.com is better for sets database.
But which train are you talking about? The one in TS3 isn’t made of Lego in the movie, and any trains in the previous two won’t be Lego, because Pixar didn’t have the rights to put Lego in the originals.
Re: Barbie Rep
Did Mattel’s Barbie representative say anything about any “new” TS3 Ken and Barbie two-packs (with the characters in different outfits/clothes from the end of the film)? Or are they just sticking with the previously released Animal Lovin/Great Shape Barbie two-pack?

Well, they definately didn’t have the rights in the first film, though in the second they used Legos for the house re-enactment. I’m pretty sure the train Andy played with in the beginning of Toy Story 3 is made of Legos. At lest, that’s what I’ve heard (the trailers don’t give a clear shot).

sounds like i heard this before…hmmmm
there’s my bucket

Not sure what gave anyone that idea. I would much more easily assume it was just a standard train set, the track alone doesnt seem very lego ish to me.
