yup. They speak the truth. On Mr. P I sculpted the eyes…otherwise he is 100% the store bought TSC Potato…and Hamm came from the Disney Store.
Today my See n’ Say that I just picked up off of ebay came in. I am currently painting the center section yellow, otherwise he is pretty exact to the movie. I would have bought one years ago, but I never realized until earlier in this thread that the See n’ Say in the movie was an actual See n’ Say from the late 80s. I always thought the PIXAR people designed their own for some reason.
Just got back from Target, they had the 6" Rocky for $2! Now all I need to order is some HydroSpan and then with some elbow grease, I should have a 12" one!
I also just noticed that the Lasso Woody 6" fig comes with a tiny “andys box”. It looks to be correct graphics, so it would be cool to scan in the little box graphics to blow up to put on a correct scale box.
The toy chest? the Ultimate Toy Box dvd set already has the textures you can use as reference. You’d want recreate it in vector or something but all the detail is there to work with.
I meant the, the cardboard ones, sorry. I neglected to state which.
But since you said theres files for the toy box on the set, are there images of the cardboard box art?
It would be cool to scale up “replica” pictures, and trace them onto boxes, filling them in with the art school (not crayola, the higher end kinds will look more movie accurate) crayons.
I made this from a screencap, but could do better with a hd super high res cap, or someone else can beat me to it, wink wink. Already printed one out and hung it up.
Like I said, it could be worlds better, but it looks pretty neato hanging up, a sort of of a crude paper prop replica, but it suits me for the time being:
Kickass! Is that a redraw of it, or a clean edit? regardless, looks badass, and it sucks that I wasted paper and ink on the other print out, but oh well. Thanks man, this is going up rather than mine.
Cool man. If I dont know about something I like to find out how, and computer art like that is pretty foreign to me as you can tell, but I can understand if I looked into it enough. Takes talent.
Just think of the folks in the morning that see that Kyle, they’ll be printing them off like hotcakes to stick up, or around their toys. I know I’m gettting ready to!
And the work you did, makes it look very professional. I actualyl was hoping it was you who tackled that image, thats why I put the wink.
I’ve asked this before but got no reply. Has anyone any idea of the scale of Wheezy?. He looks fairly large almost potato head scale in some shots. I know he is about an inch larger than the aliens. The problem is he looks different scales in the film. If I had a mr mike I could guess his size by the microphone. Any help? Anyone?
Judging by a pic like my avatar, and the pic above, I would say that the Japan squeak Wheezy is only about 20% “too small” I say that with care, because its pretty damn good.
This looks to be a variation on the Japan squeak Wheezy in a setting post. Not too bad of price, and theres a “barter” option:
Thanks Tyler but that’s the usaul overpriced Wheezy and he’s way to small. I’m guessing that Wheezy stands around 2 inches taller than the mic. What that is in overall percentage I have no idea. If I had that mic measurement I could make a guess.
He is smaller yes, but not too much smaller. Take account for when woody holds the mic, and then look at any pic of woody holding or super close to wheezy, etc
That’s why I’m having problems with scale. When Andys mum takes him from the shelf he looks quite large, maybe 5 inches or more. Then with Woody he looks smaller. In the menu screen of the 2 disc DVD he stands a good inch over the aliens. I fed up with the wacky prices on eBay so I want to make one myself.
