I don’t know, I’m kind of hesitant to agree that Lenny, Wheezy and RC will have speaking roles. IMDB has been incorrect before and unless they have an outrageously small cameo appearance, I don’t see how thru could be incorporated into the film.
Andy’s old toys don’t speak in the movie, but Twitch does. I dunno who voices him, I doubt it’s Jeff Garlin though for some reason. We hear him laugh in the international trailer, and he doesn’t sound anything like him.
If Jeff Garlin is the voice of Twitch then they may have altered his voice or something. I’ve also heard now that [spoil]Bo Peep and both Lenny and Wheezy would be nothing more than small background cameos at the beginning of the film, and I kind of think now that they wouldn’t replace Joe Ranft’s characters out of respect for him.[/spoil] I didn’t know before that Joe was trying to base Lenny’s voice on Cheech Marin, but because I’ve heard his voice in other Disney films I know that he has his own unique sound to him that I don’t think Joe really captured. Lenny’s voice always sounded more like Joe doing his own thing than an imitation of Cheech Marin.
If you have a video camera, you could so make a remake of the opening to Ts1. But besides a camera you’ll need the following things:
A green toy pistol (or paint one green)
cardboard boxes
a Robot replica (that one’s just a suggestion but it would help)
-A hot wheels track
And the 3 sheep
And that’s it! also you’d need a youtube account and know how to upload. to help, here’s a vid of someone that made a remake before the TSC: youtube.com/watch?v=KD0sBMGJarU
Well, that’s all I have to say. P.s. Nice job on the stinky pete box!
I also think it is BS, but only because I don’t see RC playing enough of a role to have any lines. But if he did have any “lines” I actually think Frank Welker would be a good choice to voice him. He has a long history of voicing pets in cartoons that can’t talk: Lucifer in the Cinderella sequels, Abu, George in Curious George, Crikee in Mulan, just to name four of his more than 600 credits on IMDB. If what they need are sounds that convey an emotion as opposed to speaking actual words, he has kinda made a career doing that.
Tyler about an accurate zurg couldn’t you do it to this zurg with what your doing with that rocky disneystore.com/toys-toy-sto … 73/13919/# And I found a pull string same size as woodys only its yellow I want to swap it but I dont know how I should do it any thoughts.
I feel the same way, Frank Welker kicks all kinds of ass. Really doubtful though that imdb would just make up that he’s voicing RC. I bet its just a word or two, something express. Like “Hey woody!” rather than a long winded speech or something others are assuming.
I love Jack Angel’s voice, so I cant wait to here what he has to say. “I’ll break, David.” hahah, I LOVE AI Teddy
Here’s a puck teaser. Started off with a custom cast “puck” Needed one a very specific size, so I made my own. What you’re seeing is a partially finished sanded base puck. Just a teaser, to see.
I made the descion, becaue its a no brainer. Now folks can have an even more accurate potato head, coupled with the puck. The only bad thing is, the tsc potato head doesnt have that phrase! I thought about inserting a little voice module in the puck, containg Mr. P saying that, but it would be weird coming FROM the puck, rather than direced AT the puck.
(notes: the pic under the base puck is scaled %10 too big to what I’m doing, only because I suck at mainpulating things on the computer. Using that pic for distance and size relations on the feet, arm, legs, hands sculpt. and the base puck itself was one step away from fine grit sanding, to achieve the pixar computer model smoothness the toy needs)
But the character of RC has never spoken before. I’m sure that if he was able to talk, he would have at least said something in his big scene in TS. As cool as Frank Welker is, I have the feeling someone at iMBD is making things up again.
True, good point. Regard it as a rumor, until official. I am hoping it is indeed true though, but if not, its at least fun to think of Frank Welker again, hahaha.
Like said before, it was extablished that RC wasn’t able to talk. Refer back to the scene where Woody accidently pushed Buzz out the window. The only way RC could “talk” was with engine noises, but all the toys could understand him. I hope they just leave him as he is. Even more, I hope he has a substancial part…
I guess nothing is definite at this point. Pixar never came out and said RC can’t talk (even though facts and IMDb’s credibilty make things look bleak), although if Lenny can talk, there’s still a possibility.
EDIT: I’m gonna stop here because I realize I’m getting off-topic.
Actually they did, as stated by Lasseter in the Toy Story 10th Anniversary DVD commentary. Pixar wanted him to be intentionally speaking solely through sounds, communicating to the other toys exactly like Lassie.
Last thought from me on the off topic of RC “talking”…I was imagining Frank Welker making imitation enginey type noises, but with an emotion behind them…The noise that they get has to come from somewhere, and while using just manipulated engine noises has worked up to now, there might be something that they need that they can not acheive without manipulating an emotional response that only a living being can give, then processing it to sound like engine noises. The closest thing he has ever come to a word is in the first movie, after he is pushed out of the moving truck and finds Buzz under the car. If I remember correctly there is a rev to his engine that sounds similar to “Buzz!”
That being said I still only think we are going to see him in a montage at the beginning…one where no one will be speaking, similar to the passage of time in UP.
