Interesting… Did you buy her new or used? I know of a trick that allows you to make her appear thinner from the from the front/back but it makes her thick from the sides. Is yours thin from the sides too?
Trying to find out if they actually addressed the thickness issue or if yours is just an anomaly. If they actually fixed this I wonder if thinkway would send me a replacement if I sent mine?
Ari, I ordered exactly the same item, if the Canadian seller you are referring to is KimmyShop. I was pleased to actually receive the correctly coloured yellow barrel, but like you was somewhat dissapointed that there was a mixture of coloured monkeys inside, and that the barrel exterior didn’t have the text ‘Barrel of Monkeys’ moulded onto its side like it should.
Id’ve been less dissapointed if the accompanying image wasn’t misleading, (suggesting we’d get an accurate barrel and only red monkeys).
As of now though I’m content to have it as part of my collection until I can get a vintage product.
ur collection is nice to infinity and beyond where did u get bullseye and how much.didnt bother me but kyle has a point ppl just look and enjoy most of the time any way
I have finally attempted to make separate eyes for my $12.99 amazon Mr. Potatohead. I did this all today. I admit my artistic skills are sorely lacking, but overall I think it looks good. A had a little sloppy paint job and the left eye looks way better than the right, but clay is an inexact science. I used Crayola magic clay so it stays a little spongy even when dry, so it can be molded a bit. I used black paint and combo of brown and gold paint.
The TS3 one is just a normal potatohead. The most accurate one is the toy story collection one. It needs modifications/custom eyes, but the sculpts are whats important here. and no amount of mods will make the others look decent imo.
Whoops, I misread the post, didn’t see the letter S in Mrs.
still, I can stand by my answer, sorta. the most accurate one would be a custom one with a TSC Mr potatohead used as a base. The official TS one is just a normal Mrs, and its not even passable enough to bother with if you ask me. Not even as a temporary solution.
And no I haven’t created one. I’m still holding out hope that she’ll be in wave 3. if not I’ll have to tackle it myself.
I can’t really help you with the shoes, I haven’t sculpted anything like that either. but I do know I would try to use better clay than you did for your eyes.
Yeah, I’d need something sturdier for sure…i like how the eyes turned out…they arent perfect, but i think they look good seperated. I’m wondering how it would look if i just spraypainted the feet red and called it a day…the nose, mouth and eyes wouldnt be a hard sculpt. I have the hat, and earrings are as easy as it gets…hopefully the point is moot and I just sculpt mrs eyes when they release her in wave 3
Slink, I think your Potato Head eyes look great, but I would suggest making the eyebrows a little bit thicker as they look like Mrs. Potato Head’s in my opinion.
Thats my problem, I think I waited to long for Bullseye and Rex. I know where I can buy the rest just at full retail, but can’t find those 2. I few days ago I contacted thinkways customer service, from the address on their site, to see if they were still producing them or they were done and also asked about wave 3. Still have not heard back and will email again in few days if no response
