kyle im just curious what you are going to do about a slinky dog in your collection cause i havent seen anything from tyler yet on his custom slink i think the one with string on head is passable looks very accurate only thing that are wrong is string in head no articulation in legs ears are not real leather and he needs a bobble head but thinkway is not produceing one just wondering if u got one or if tyler has finished his off for you.

I believe he still has some hockey pucks and sets of eyes to do, but Slinky is up next.
We’ve gone through this before, but the official slinky dog isn’t even passable in my eyes, the issues go far beyond the hole in the head.
I’m curious how good the slinky dog will even look…seems like a hard task to get everything to look perfect. The Hockey puck is a relatively easy one and its taking forever, wheezy is a little harder…i might not count on tyler being close to finishing slink til next year…
A film accurate slink will simply never exist…like the actual manufacturing seperate eye potato head, he’ll only exist that way in the movie.
The hockey pucks were taking a while because he was having difficulties with air bubbles in the resin. the humidity was making it hard to get a smooth finish. The eyes I currently have from him have a few of them. But he’s figured out how to fix this by double casting them or something. forget what he called it. Not only for the eyes but the pucks too. They now look and feel more like toys you would buy in a store. I’ll be getting both toy mode and a revised set of the original eyes with more accurate, larger pupils pretty soon. (and the hockey puck of course)
Slinky will come in time. this is just his process.

Definitely. I’ll be doing a full on video review on Youtube when I do, going into great detail about how it compares to the official ones (there’s 2 remember) and then comparing them to the on screen counterpart. and thanks to my new iphone 4 it’ll be in HD. I even have a pretty cool intro for the video ready to go. I don’t have an official slinky dog to use, so pics of it will have to do.
I don’t doubt he can do slink justice. If you look at his past work he’s done far more complex things. Not in terms of articulation but detail wise.
There are 2 slinks whats the other one only one i know about that is in scale is the one with the string in his head only other one i know about is a plush one which looks horrible.Can u show me a link to the other never saw it and would like to check it out thanks
She is thin all around. I got her Online from ToysRus I actually never noticed how thin she was o.O compared to the other Jessie I have there the both the collection version…I know that trick too I did it once with the non-Thin Jessie but it looks funny if you leave her like that…
also about the thin jessies i dont think its somthing they fixed i just think toystoryfan got lucky when he got his and ended getting one that is thinner then the others cause i ordered mine on toysrus.com so if they were new fixed ones i was thinking i wouldve got one aswell i think he just got a lucky one.

Oh thats the one i got why does everyones look so big in pictures mines is in scale to all the collection toys but im just wondering guess pics make em look bigger i got the one by slinky poof the special edition one looks just like yours except it come in the original 1953 box and it comes with a little brown certificate of authenticity
Yeah, mine also came with the certificate.
the 1995 toy story branded model was more inaccurate. (at least that’s how I think you can tell them apart, I don’t really know) he had larger brows and brown nose, but they all have the string on the head. you have the better of the two, but their both more or less the same design. he did have one advantage over the new one though in that his ears were brown on both sides.
Also, they are All made by slinky poof. at least the non gimicky ones with a real slinky are.
Hmm. Can you do me a favor and take the voice box out, as if you were changing the battery or switching her play mode? I have a hard time believing it could just be yours. While we’ve seen that variations in stitching can result in different sizes and proportions with Lotso, the main thing preventing Jessie from looking skinnier was the voice box, and that has a standard size. its either different or its not.

That’s lack technique and skill on his part. After looking at his FB page , I see he is showing alot of bad parts which is a waste of money and time. I would image that the final pieces will be alot of work to finish and of poor quality.
People might want to inquire about what type of resin and other products he is using. I’m not sure what type of price he is charging but be wary. He might be charging people more because of his lack of experience.
He is a known recaster that does whatever short cuts he can to make a quick buck so be careful for sure.
a recaster takes a known product , like a bust from a company, and casts it in the cheapest and quickest way to replica it. The quality is poor with air bubbles , inconsistent pours and lack of degassing.
i would just tell everyone to educate yourself about the process and even inquire from people from the Replica prop forum before dropping any serious money with him.
I’m going to inquire about him on " propsafe" and other places to see what extent he is screwing people. Sounds like he is taking money without delivery. If it was me , I would be visiting him to get my money back, But I enjoy a good confrontation.
