While I agree that with the type of character that Big Baby is, making multiple versions would probably not be the best way to go, but it has been done before. Buzz, Woody, and Jessie all have three different versions available from Thinkway, and actually Buzz has five and Woody has four. Woody has the $25 non-electronic ragdoll, $35 cheaper non-TSC talking ragdoll, $35 playtime Woody with hat sensor, and the $50 TSC version. Buzz has the same prices, but for Karate chop action with no electronics, cheaper non-TSC electronic, light-up jet-pack version, Spanish talking version, and the TSC one, and Jessie has the same ones as Woody, minus the hat sensor one. While those are the main characters, three to five versions is still a lot, especially the ones without electronics.
Twitch is also following in this path, as there is the current, cheaper one, that doesn’t have the staff or any real fancy features besides the two buttons, and now they may have a beefed-up version with more bells an whistles in the TSC if there’s enough retailer interest. So I wouldn’t rule it out as a possibility, but I think you’re right, and the fact that we’re getting a Big Baby at all after this much time is just short of a miracle itself.
Here my tikes xD (again lol, let me know what you’re thinking of >.<)
Ok There s the black fire tike missing in the pic (i got it , gonna do it later xD)
And i’m almost done, missing the blue cap/blue body tike and the other sailor tike (with the little hat!) After that gonna take a pic of the whole family with the firetruck ( got 6 fire tikes including the black one, i think andy got 6 ones )
xDDDDD anyway, yeaaaay i used a french sculpey called : pâte fimo… they are sold in different colors, it’s why they look cool :')
actually the sailor hat, existed its a sailor tike …
Wampar gave me a precious advice, that means using an hedge clippers… i had to remove the body of the head by cutting it… was kind of dangerous xD, but yeah, actually it asked a lot of work… cuz i had to waste a lot of tikes to create all of that ones. so yeah i’ve matched heads and hair and hats and bodies x) ! + the different hat i’ve made out.
But yeah i’m really proud of how they turned out…
Oh! I saw the Chuckles (if it was the crocheted one). Yeah, she did an awesome job. I went to her Etsy site and she does a lot of different characters. She doesn’t sell them though… She sells the patterns to make them yourself. I think she is listed as CraftyisGood and has a blog on blogspot too.
