No problem! I don’t know much about them. I’m pretty sure I don’t belong in this thread since I don’t really collect “replicas.” I’m going to just go back to lurking.

I think i will create the red tuxedo even if it was inspired by the night scene outfit and also the ken austronaut outfit… as none of the austronaut outfits are enough close to the spacesuit from the movie. Oh and I think to make the cloth that ken wears at the end when he’s on the yellow truck
For barbie…I got the pink bathsuit and the rock star barbie outfits from 1986.
mmmh yeah that’s all i think xD When I will get them all, gonna take pictures I promise :')

WOWWW…i cant wait to see the pictures.
I had an idea for the possible upcoming collection Big Baby. If you look at his outfit he has when he belongs to daisy, it covers everything but his face. They could easily just paint big babies tatoos and everything on his bdy and just have the “new” outfit be removeable. They could easily rig something with the eye to give it the broken look
I agree about the outfit. I think that would be great. I’d want the locket too. The eye is definitely an issue. Not sure how they would work it. My SIL still has her doll from when she was a little girl and it had three faces. The bonnet hid the other “faces” and you’d only see one at time and turn the head to show a different face. It was 1) crying 2) happy and 3) sleeping. It was a good concept but scary looking once you took off the bonnet. Unfortunately that wouldn’t work here because Big Baby doesn’t keep the bonnet on. So I guess I mentioned all that for nothing. lol.
Well since these are electronic toys, perhaps they could work it into the elctronics. Or maybe if you pushed the eye back in a cerain position it locks into the half open position. Thereare possibilities im sure.
Ha. No pressure or anything. I will hopefully have stuff ready to post Sunday morning, Monday if not…but I want to make the Sunnyside toys in waves because much like I did with Sid’s toys I am not shooting for accuracy as much as the right feel, and I think they will look much better when grouped together. I am planning to do 20 or so characters from the background at Sunnyside. This first post will showcase 7 or 8 of them.
Just for fun, here is a tiny sneak peek.
Disneymommy- if memory serves me correctly, a message will sit in your outbox until the receipient reads it…then it moves to sent messages…though I could be wrong?
well you guys are both great and glad u got a laugh out of my cotton ball on a tooth pick think disneymommy and i wasnt being sarcastic i have no artistic skill at all
Well, I don’t want to mention everything I am thinking of doing, because I might change my mind about some of them. But The Flower Doll is done. I should finish the Blue Sulley Cat tonight (though he has ended up larger than I planned…oh well), I have a couple of troll dolls I redressed, some Little People I repainted. The two that will definitely happen in the next wave (which I won’t start working on until probably March) are the Jack in the Box (though the box itself is going to be REALLY wrong…but that’s okay), and the Mike Wazowski looking one eyed monster…among others.
On a side note: thanks for the kind words everybody. I make this stuff just to make myself happy, but I am glad that I can come share it here too.
For anyone still looking for the original Great Shape Barbie leotard to go on the TS3-branded one, try doing some alternative searches on eBay. Most of the ones that come up if you search “great shape barbie” or something similar are all mint, vintage barbies with enormous price tags on them, especially considering the only thing you need from it is the clothes.
I searched for “barbie workout” and, although there was a lot of unrelated stuff, I managed to find the blue jumpsuit for sale along with some other “workout blouse” for $7. The cheapest I’ve found the actual 1983 doll is around $70 including P&H so that was an awesome find.
Also, from what I can tell, the best way to get a screen-accurate Barbie is to use the old leotard and leg warmers, and the new belt, shoes and hairband on the new doll.
