Hey I was wondering if anyone knows anything about a Chuckles being release, because I’m thinking of making one but if there’s going to be one released soon.
I decided to follow Wampar’s example and take a couple of new pictures with the worst possible lighting conditions.
I got tired of waiting for Tyler Haslett to follow through on the order I paid for half a year ago, and decided to make my own Wheezy. Here he is in his debut performance!
Sorry, I left out that he said it would be one of the “action figures” so I’m not sure if that’s “to scale.” Some here seem to think Chucles is taller than six inches.
Here is what he wrote:
Chuckles will be part of a 6" action figure assortment. That’s all I know so far but check in with me later on this spring!
crouchingwhitekid,
I think Wheezy looks great!! I don’t even know what the shark looks like in TS. I think I only remember his head with Woody’s hat on it sticking out of the toy box.
Has anyone made a replica of Andy’s toy box/chest?
While I have not even begun any sort of preparation for such a project, it has been on my mind now to make a full-size replica of the toy chest that Andy stores all of his toys in. I don’t know when I’ll have a finished product to show, but I definitely am planning to do this one day, and when I do I will be sure to post pics of it on here.
I remember seeing that during the special and thinking that I had to have that.
I don’t think that the one in the auction listed up higher is the same one, as I’ve seen that one in stores before, and it’s pretty small, a little smaller than the size of the TSC RC box. The one shown on the Dream Home tour seems to be almost full scale, if not exactly full scale. Due to the nature of that contest though, I think it could be safely assumed that the one shown is a custom, one-of-a-kind item, and not something that is mass produced, or else we would have heard or seen something about it by now. I could be wrong, and I hope that I am, but that’s just my two cents.
Yeah, I figured it was a custom, but I also hadn’t seen or heard of that dress up chest so I wasn’t sure.
Do we know of something we could buy that has the same shape and scale at least to paint ourselves? seems like something that would be easy to paint, with enough planing ahead of time.
I’ve been checking every time I go near a craft store for a suitable chest that I could use, but I have had no such luck as of yet. When I get around to doing mine, I’m just planning to buy the wood to build it myself and then paint it once it’s built. The hardest part that I can see would be the lid, as I’ve never worked with anything like this before, and making a shape like that seems like it would be difficult, or challenging to say the least.
