wow this really looks amazing and i have two questions, you are selling these right? second if so how much
Wow, amazing work! Can’t wait to see a finished product.
Thank you for the kind words.
Here are his arms (everything is scratch except for of course the 7/32 aluminum pipe, and the 1/2" dowel pieces used for his legs. This is still a WIP, so thast why it looks like a robot, rather than the character on screen. The “robot” looking hands are for the clay to grab on to, and to keep the fingers, hands, the same size, as with the feet. (A tip for sculptors: spraying air duster upside produces a cold spray that can be used to crisp up clay/make it hard. Fine grit sand paper can then be used on the “frozen” clay to get any smooth planes and angles you wish)
The pics dont show it, but he does have that slight lean back, so when he’s fully finished he’ll have a bit of character stuck in the “HUH?!?!?” pose. I was originally intending to have the arms movie, but that would add to the cost, and I’m already trying to keep this cost friendly.
I cant wait to get the proto finished, I’ll take a slew of pics with my TSC-ers (will do the same on Slink)
They say silence is golden and that pic needs no description. I need that Slink and Puck Tyler. Excellent stuff.
Thank you kindly.
The puck reminds me of “Bob-Omb” from the mario brothers movie, hhaha.
That looks so good! Can’t wait to see more of Hockey Puck and Slinky. ![]()
The slink pictured, is the last part I have to work on, showing the super-raw unfinished snout. I did use the toys slinky head, sanded off everything, removed the snout, etc, because the diameter of his head (on the toy) was already exact, and it was hard enough finding 3" ball halves for his body.
I also thought about just using a full slinky, but they will be split in 2, unless someone requests that they’re slink body has a full slinky, which is longer than it is in the movie, (unless someone can show me wrong).
I’ll show some better slink pics this evening, of his parts, etc. And will then use the Hockey puck thread, to put slink in.
Wow the Hockey Puck looks so cool. Pretty much spot on even in an unfinished state.
Thank you Comedian! Watch out for Hooded Justice after you encounter the Silk Spectre, hahaha.
This is kinda rando, but are you doing mr. P eyes? it was probably asked before but im too lazy to look. Hocky puck looks great ![]()
Yay, we finally get a glimpse of Slink. looks good.
What kind of expression will he have, are you planning on giving him his default expression or more of a smile? Open mouthed or closed?
And did he really not have a full slinky? I guess I never thought about it. I’m trying to think if we ever saw him with his two body halves close together, the only thing I can think of is the shot in the first toy story as Andy says the line “Ive brought my attack dog” just before he stretches him out.
I thought the same too Kyle, but when it came to adjusting and having a look, a full slinky is too long. His slinky is a bit longer than the toy version, but still not a full slinky. I think I feel best at 3/4 of a Slinky. Becasue that gives him the length he needs (the main thing I’m looking for in length is the correct sagging on the floor when he stands up straight, the toy version doesnt have that becasue the slinky is too short) And with the bit of added length, he wont fall over as the toy did due to the tension in the metal.
On the mouth, I’m going to do it like it is in the 360 turn. I figure it would look better than the closed mouth, and would fit in with the other tsc-ers better as they too all have a bit of expression, as opposed to full on toy mode.
His legs are expression too, meaning they’re not the toy modes straight up and down legs, they’re the kind with the slight bend.
HAPPY BIRTHDY TYLER ![]()
Here’s a little something I whipped up in Photoshop. Several of the representations I’ve seen have differed slightly from one another, so I tried to “average” them into this version.
Awesome, can’t wait to see how the eyes would look

He still needs his pants. I guess Barbie stole them after she ripped off his ascot.

Awesome, and completely spot on job RoboDad! This is going straight ontoy computer desktop’s wallpaper. What font did you use by the way?
Some more of Andys artwork for you. Maybe some of you photoshop guys could enhance them…or not.
Not the best pictures I know but they could be cleaned up. I’m at the limit of my computing skills doing this. lol
I might take a stab at doing crayon drawings like I did with the wanted poster. The Andy’s room sign looks to be done on lined paper, though, so it would be kind of weird to just print it out on typing paper.
