They would make nice backdrops for a tsc figures display. The mr potato head wanted looks great displayed that way.

The room sign appeared to be done with marker, so that’s what I used for it. I also added some finger prints and smudges to match the original image:

Obviously, the Woody drawing would have to be trimmed a bit on the sides when printed to match the original, and the room sign could be printed on notebook paper for a bit more authenticity.

Thanks! They really were a lot of fun to create, as was the wanted poster before. Maybe I’ll put them in their own thread so they don’t get lost in this when as it gets longer. That way they’ll be easier to track down later.
Nice, are you planning on doing Andy’s picture of Zurg from the first Toy Story? I thought it was interesting that they basically had his design planned out back then. Then again, Pixar has planned out a lot of things early, like Lotso.
To be honest, that’s definitely the drawing I’d like to do the most. It was always one of my favorites on Andy’s bulletin board when I watched the film growing up, and I’d love to do a replica of it now! If I can get a good clean reference picture of it, I’m definitely going to do a drawing of it!

Yeah, where can it be seen? the only designs I remember from back then were pretty different from the version we saw in TS2.
Assuming that Dinoco and I are thinking of the same drawing, it’s the one in the bottom right corner of the bulletin board during the “Strange Things” musical number.
It’s not much of a drawing, though, and sadly, Zurg’s face is covered by another drawing (the one I replicated already, actually.) That makes me doubt that I’d be able to get a good enough picture to duplicate it unless it’s turned up somewhere else.
Zurg is pretty much just a black silhouette in the image, but I always liked the look of the picture as a kid.

Yup, that’s the picture. I think it’s close to the final design, but I think the black is just his silouette. Unless the early designs that Kyle’s refering to say otherwise.
His storyboards from Toy Story 2 are almost identical, as he’s colored in pitch-black. From his early concept days, he didn’t look anything like that, and moreso resembled an imp.
Anyways, the official pictures are on Andy’s character page (including a wealth of ones not seen in the movie). Sadly the links aren’t working. I also saw two more unseen pictures by Andy, and I’m pretty sure they were hanging up at Pixar (but these were huge posters, and could easily be identified). I just forget which video I saw them in.

I keep forgetting that they had storyboarded a design of Zurg for Toy Story (for the original Buzz Lightyear cartoon opening that they envisioned to be in traditional animation). It just seems like they didn’t know what Zurg was supposed to be yet from watching the film cause he’s never shown for real and only his name is used, but now I know from this screencap that they were starting to figure out his final design by then and kind of unintentionally snuck in a hint of his eventual appearance.
I’m also loving all these “Andy’s drawing” replicas being made here (especially the actual crayon ones, which to me seem more believable).

Full pictures tonight in a seperate thread. Slinky Dog and the info for ordering will be up Monday. Wheezy is after that, and I already know for a fact Wheezy will be $20 or below. Either soft urethane (imitation vinyl) or latex. Wheezy will be “toy mode” becaue he’s squeaker is in his mouth. The eyes will be expression, but I want to make sure the squeak is where it should be.
I can’t even speak. All the materials and textures are perfect!

Thank you kindly! I was actually worried about that when getting halfway done with him, becasue I needed to make sure it looked “pixar smooth” where it needed to be. And the fact that these (mine anyway) is going straight to my TSC shelf, if it looked off in anyway I wouldnt be able to stop staring at it obsessing, hahaha.
He was actually harder than Slinky! I HATE sculpting fingers, hahah.
