You don’t have to make me feel so bad about paying that much for it lol
No believe me I knew all about this Wheezy before you made that comment! I just didn’t want to post it on here though simply because I wanted to reward myself for looking on ebay 3 to 4 times a day looking to see if anys been posted since almost last year!
Well I think I’m going to paint his whole beak a slightly different shade so that it doesnt look like two different colors if I just paint a part of it, does that make any sense? LOL!
I’m not saying that you’re to blame for the sudden lightness on my wallet, lol, but what I think the new policy should be is simply no posting eBay auctions on this site; well buy it nows are okay
I understand that it still would’ve been pricey but what I’m not denying is that it puts a LOT of pressure on you when you know all these other people on this forum tonight are watching/bidding on this auction. I mean that’s the reason why I didn’t post Wheezy on here, if you were bidding on an auction you wouldn’t want to let other people who may be also interested in that auction know would you?
Even if you already had Wheezy, you wouldn’t want to let even more people know that this auction is going on because the people who are secretly hiding that the auction is even taking place feel like their secret is out and feel like they have no hope now.
Sorry for the rant but thats my opinion on eBay, do what you want
I stand by what I said and still think it would have sold for 98 regardless of me posting it here. All of you who lost the bid can keep on moaning and complaining about me ruining your chance of getting it and congrats on winning the item lostdude.
There’s no way of ever finding out what would’ve happen if you didn’t, so thank you “YouAreAToy!!!”,
I’m very happy to finally have Wheezy and I would like to say that my next project will be TODDLE TOTS! But I would like to know, Emma or Wampar,if they make a green bottom for doctor tike? I don’t believe I saw a single green bottom out of every tike I saw on eBay? Did you paint it? THANKS!
I am almost positive I know what the outcome would have been because I have seen this situation a number of times…An item sits at around 20-30 bucks for the whole time its up then people start to bite at the 5 hour mark then someone crushes everyone’s dream and outbids all of them the last 5 seconds of the war.
BTW did you snipe the item I do it all the time so do not feel bad to say if you did.
Several of the bids that drove the price on here could have come from members…honestly, so what if it did…he bid $98, because it waas worth $98 to him…you can’t complain if thats what you bid.
Even if what you did drove up the price a bit, which i believe it did, so what? No point of anyone claiming to know a what if…
I was stalking that item too, so were many i’m guessing…i chose not to share, like lostdude did. Argument could be made either way…but who cares?
Its not unheard of actually among other collectors forums to adopt an unwritten “no posting ebay auctions that are not your own” rule. Just as a common courtesy. Unless its something truly bizarre or questionable. Maybe it looks like a bootleg, or is ridiculously expensive (an auction for Stinky Pete comes to mind) I find it hard to take sides on the issue. If something is rare enough though and the fandom is active enough on a certain board it Does drive up the price. It is ebay though on the otherhand, which is supposed to be every man for himself.
It’s not that were whining, it’s that we all want the same thing. It’s like dangling one piece of meat in a pool of sharks. They are all going to fight to get it, and they all want it, even though there is only one. I might see a wheezy maybe 2 times a year, and only on ebay. So it’s sad when everyone wants something and there is only one.
I know that and it’s sad that you can’t all get the item but I’m not really to blame for you losing the item someone would have out bid 1 of you regardless it was all how much you were willing to pay.If its worth anything I apologize for calling you whiners.
That’s ok I’m over it. It was just the heat of the moment, lol not that big a deal. I did however write to an overseas seller and ask them if they had any wheezy’s available for purchase, and to list them on ebay. I bet there is a big tub of these laying around somewhere collecting dust. lol
Yes, I did
I realized that the only way you can win rare items nowadays hahahaha
Yes I suppose I was thinking irrationally, and yes it is silly to accuse someone of driving the price so high. I would like to get off this never ending debate, or we could continue it in a new thread, because this really has nothing to do with replicas at all
Who did you contact and why would you suspect they had wheezys?
So I still need some info on the green bottom of a toddle tot so if anyone can help me out that would be great!
Also I’m going to remake my trashcan so that it is more size accurate and actually funtions as a trashcan. But can someone tell me how tall the waste basket is or any good trashcans to work off of?
Also I am making two of these, one for myself and one for another member, so let me know if you would like one as well! It would be probably cheap if anyone is wondering!
It was a seller who had some up for sale a long time ago, but they were really pricey. Whenever you see a brand new in the bag wheezy it is $190 or more.
