I have both versions of the TSC Bucket of Soldiers (the two different shades of green). But I don’t know how I would go about to get the most accurate. Would you say the the Toy Story 2 Bucket is accurate in size? And then you could put the TSC soldiers in that Bucket? I can’t tell from the picture but can the Toy Story 2 Bucket hold 200 soldiers?

! I’m not sure but I think there is around 75 soldiers in each, I’m pretty sure you can put 110 soldiers in each of them at least to be honest, also the new bucket is not fulfilled at all ! It’s like not even half of the bucket, but it’s because the soldiers are so small too haha
I was thinking putting the tsc soldiers in this bucket yeah…!
The TS2 bucket seems slightly bigger, but it’s almost the same size as the others really ^^

Do you think you could buy a bigger bucket and put a label on it so it can fit them all? I think that would be pretty cool!! Are the newer soldiers smaller than past soldiers?

Well I think if you take a bigger bucket, the label woul be too small on it !
you can try to scan the new one tho, and print it in a bigger size, that would be an option

I could be way off, but i have sculpted at the art academy i attended, and it looks to be, at least partially,foam.
Thanks for the comparison pic. Hmm, you know I would have to say the one we already have is the better one now. While the new one has the better bucket, the fact that it doesn’t have a non injured version of the soldier really hurts this version. On top of that, its a lighter green. The TSC version is already too green as it is, so this is even worse. Ideally they would be either the same shade as the TS2 versions, or something in between that and the TSC. And the injured soldier, while nice, isn’t something Andy’s version was even meant to have, so while it nice on its own it shouldn’t be replacing the normal version. Scaling also annoys me. I initially thought you were saying the new ones were larger, which I was okay with. But Im pretty sure their not meant to be any smaller.
So yeah, I would file this new bucket as nifty, but not necessary. Certainly not definitive as I thought at first. I’ll be sticking with the TSC version.
yeah the bucket is much nicer, but I think i’ll keep the TSC version of the soldiers ^^

It’s a real shame about the string (and resulting hole if the string is removed) on that Slinky.
Still, at least it appears that Disney Store is invested in making new Toy Story merchandise, so there is a very slim chance that we may see “fan-demanded” characters like Trixie, Zurg and Stinky Pete in something close to “replica” form.
I would kill for something in scale, even if they arent completely accurate. The lack of anything close to scale is what kills me.
