I’ve been to Disney Store and yeah Rex has an articulated mouth, but it’s his upper jaw that is moving, so it makes no sense lol, it sucks x)
His upper jaw was never meant to move anyway, unless I’m misunderstanding you.

Oh really? Yeah that sucks. My guess is this somehow makes it safer. Stupid safety regulations ruin all the fun.
That’s not “safer” or anything, the jaw is still clamping down anyways, if that’s even the concern. Maybe they just didn’t pay mind to that detail (I guess we should at least give them props for attempting it).
Well it actually could be safer depending on how the upper jaw is attached. If it were done properly, the lower jaw would open and it would kind of open into the neck if that makes sense. They could have been worried about kids pinching their fingers, similar to the concern with TSC potato heads legs. But I agree, it is pretty lame. This new one just doesnt have anything over the TSC one, so Im just going to stick with TSC. I wonder how the size compares?

I don´t want to offend Emma but the Rex you saw is the European version, a childish versión.
The box is quite similar to the American but not the toy.
American rez has an articulated jaw, but it doesn´t work like in the movies. The cicled articulation is stucked, but the jaw stills moving because it´s not atached to the circle.
BTW, the las picture Kyle showed it´s Mattel version of Rex (not articulated jaw).

I feel like Emma couldnt have confused the 2. They look nothing alike.
but she is in Ireland, and the New rex is not being distributed in Europe jet, and maybe wont.
Edit: and also, USA version has not an upper jaw articulated.
Not to sound like a jerk, but how do you know that he hasnt been distributed there? I just can’t see any similarities between the two toys so I have a hard time believing somebody could mix them up. And also, have you seen the new rex in person? I don’t think the online store pic shows enough to prove his articulation or lack thereof
Well, I guest we should wait for the reviews them. I use to be pretty well informed about DS releases in Europe, maybe my source forgot to mention the new Rex. Ofcourse I´m not an insider.
