on another note, i just finished my first custom toy... i know it's not perfect in scale, but i worked with what i had and it will look good on my shelf.

I would say its more of a dark grey myself. Its dark but not black like say, his cape or waist.
Yeah i guess you’re right, it’s a bit tricky to really know from pictures or movie images ^^
Does anyone have the zurg robot figure mattel put out? Is it anywhere near a passable size?

I think he has an iron blaster, not an ion one 
Its ion. An ion is an atom or molecule, which is what those yellow balls represent.
Or maybe you knew that? You put a winky face so I couldn’t tell if your being sarcastic.
speaking of an ion blaster, does anyone know of nerf balls that have that approximate size? or are people going to customize with sculpty, or leave as is?

I need to watch Toy Story 2 again. I want to say that actually the ion balls didnt appear until he was ready to shoot them. So “toy mode” zurg wouldn’t have the balls. But I can’t remember
I’ve searched for a couple days now and I haven’t found any Nerf balls that would fit into the blaster I’ve looked up other products besides Nerf and still no luck.
I’m pretty confident the little darts they make for the smaller guns would fit. Might be able to fashion something on the end of those that would look good. I don’t want to cram balls of sculpty into mine lol
Emma, those images are absolutely amazing! That’s so much better than anything I could have hoped to create, I’m constantly reminded of how awesome this forum and its users are every time another custom project is posted on here.
