Its still going to take some time. Emma couldnt continue hers until she got the figure in hand which she just did like a day ago. The buzz box i assume isn’t anyone top priority at the moment though.
oh. true dat, true dat. I forgot she would kinda NEED the figure to make the measurements, that makes a lot of sense. >_<
My ultimate goal, if I can gain access to these in time, is to put the figures in the custom boxes and give them to my daughter. she turns 8 on Dec 8, and is the actual one with the Toy Story collection in the house. She wants Zurg so dang bad. As do I. haha!
I hate to say it but i dont think they will both be ready in time
But I think if Emma doesnt get EXTREMELY busy, she might be able to finish zurgs by then.
D: disappoint D: Emmas Zurg box looked pretty far along not too long ago…
I hold onto hope! Emma! you’re amazing! keep up the good work, miss!
lol it was pretty far along but theres still stuff to do and life is time consuming XD Id bet on her being finished by then. But i dont think buzzes is being worked on actively enough to get finished. Unlike zurg, we have a tsc buzz box so its not a gaping hole for a lot of people.
a friend actually gave me a Utility Belt Buzz Box, but I’m kinda disappointed at the inaccuracies. I UNDERSTAND the need to add in extra details, of course, so the prospect of getting a more accurate box is enticing.
Honestly, I am thinking about taking the UBB box and just tearing it up and doing Buzz’s box myself. LOTS of scanning and fitting and stuff will be involved, but it should only take about a week, pending my commitment…
I’m sorta surprised no one has tackled Do It Yourself boxes much, yet. the POQ Magazine ones BLOW me away! and Emma’s WIP looks amazing, too.
EDIT: AND THEN I FOUND THIS:

Aww… you HAVE TO BE A MEMBER??? BOOOOO!
Jessie / Bullseye 2-packs have been available since 2009… I remember almost buying one waaay back before I even knew there was a Toy Story Collection line, but Bullseye was completely the wrong size so I got the TSC Jessie instead.
These Disney Store 2-packs certainly look promising, I can think of a few I’d like to see come out in the next few months.
A Rex / Trixie one would be just perfect. I doubt they’d have electronics, to keep costs down, which would actually be a plus because they they’d be more screen accurate. I’m just worried about the size - the only Rex you can buy that is actually to-scale is the TSC one. Trixie’s even bigger so I hope they don’t shrink them down.
Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head is also an obvious one, although there could be some licensing issues between the company that actually makes the DS toys and Hasbro.
Chuckles / Peas in the Pod just to round out Bonnie’s toys. There aren’t any completely accurate Peas, and the only Chuckles available is the DS plushie who’s a little too small and made out of the wrong materials.
Chunk / Twitch + Sparks / Stretch: I know there’s the Thinkway versions of these but they’re pretty hard to find nowadays and redoing them would give them an excuse to make the first full-scale Stretch toy available.
Jessie / Bullseye / Pete: The only way I can see a Pete toy coming out is if he’s bundled with Jessie, who is always, always included with a Bullseye when she comes in a pack. It also kind of makes sense to have them in a 3 pack, considering they were all basically introduced together in TS2.
I think the licensing issues make the potato heads very unlikely. A pea/chuckles set lacks the recognizability and probably wouldnt sell that well to a casual buyer. Rex and trixie would be awesome and would have the added cool factor from being dinosaurs. A jessie pete pack would be awesome but i doubt they’d make a 3 pack of jessie, pete, and bullseye. I cant see them remaking twitch and chunk, but i could see a sparks/stretch set kind of. Itd suffer from the same issue as chuckles/peas in its lack of recognizability, but robots sell well ususally. And with sparks it could be made very different from thinkways. But a stretch by them might not be that cool. It could be, but i just dont feel like shed be accurate, I imagine her not being somewhat clear or made of close to proper materials and probably having some dumb action feature.
Also, jessie isnt always with bullseye. shes been made in sets with woody. If pete had ever been made, they probably wouldve been sold together.
While I’d love a Rex/trixie 2 pack, I think they are aiming at these being a “vs” assortment. The Jessie and bullseye look like they are sold separately, on the backside of the box. So, if that’s a basis for ANYTHING, i could maybe see a Rex/stretch pack, with emphasis being on making the 2 characters as accurate as can be (movable jaw/removable tail for Rex, proper materials for stretch). Go the extra mile and give Rex a removable partysaurus attire (helmet and beads), and if they have to make stretch more interesting, just add flashing light thing to the inside of her head.
Why do we not work for these powers that be?? Seriously.
My stretch is made out of glass. I thought about this, because I knew it would give her some sort of this slimy aspect she has :
Otherwise, I’ve been quite busy nowadays… and i have some difficulty to review Zurg as the light in Sctoland is just TERRIBLE. lol !! So I don’t know when i will be able to make this review. Apparently tomorrow will be sunny, so hopefully i will be able to do it!
Otherwise, now i have zurg in hand i’ll be able to finish the box, and i’m not far from finishing it to be honest ! The only thing i would like to be sure of before to share it are the dimensions once it’s printed. But I really wonder if i will be able to find a professional printer that would be willing to print on such a big cardboard piece… I’ll see…
I’m worried about the size issue, too. I’m going to ask around in the next few days… There is pretty much NO WAY one will be able to print at home, and I’m honestly worried about places like FedEx/kinkos flipping out about copyright material (it’s ALWAYS a pain in the neck to deal with that bs), but someone suggested trying a smaller company so we’ll see. As long as I can get the files with the sizes everything NEEDS to be I can go from there…
I might add the “look here” section too, i will work on the picture of this too x)
Actually, the new Disney Store Rex is full scale. If they did do a Rex/Trixie pack I’d expect it to be full scale with electronics. Good that is full scale, bad that it ha electronics
Although I do agree it is the good guy/bad guy two packs. So it’s iffy if they’d even consider it.
I think they’ve vastly underestimated chuckles, a fan favorite. If they released him in a two pack with essentially anyone, it would sell. A Chuckles/Big Baby good guy/bad guy or “daisy” set would be a collectors dream
Collectors would love it. But I dont think the Disney people would see it as a very good investment unless he was with a reall recognizable character. Collectors just arent a big enough market by themselves.
The best toys for me would be trixie and stinky pete x)
Same thing here
Gma gave the go ahead to order the 2 pack. freaking PUMPED. I’m trying to see if the guy who made the printable I linked to last night has the file to where one could properly use it for the normal figures (it’s designed for mini figures, BUUUUUT he says it can be resized, but I dont want to resize it at the expense of resolution. also you have to pay to DL, which is totally BS).
I do investigations tomorrow, see if I can get these printed on proper cardstock. I think I will disassymble the UBB box to show the print shops what I’m going for.
He probably only has the mini version, or wouldnt he have posted the full size too?
