pixarpost.com/2013/08/want-t … tyear.html Anyone who wants to buy a mini buzz lightyear

I got a delivery from the Poultry Palace this afternoon! I wonder what’s inside…

What smells like chicken fingers?

A different angle to try to avoid reflections. Mini Buzz is about five inches tall. My gut instinct is to say that he seems a little too big since he’s meant to be a kids meal toy…

…but he’s actually pretty much perfectly to scale with Toy Story Collection Buzz Lightyear when you compare their sizes to the original short film. Another example of Pixar cheating the sizes of the toys to make them look better on screen.

Also, as near as I can tell, there doesn’t seem to be any good way to remove him from his little cardboard and plastic display box he’s in without destroying it. That’s kind of a bummer. I’d like to get him out and see if he has any articulation or wheels on his feet or anything like that, but for now I think I’m going to leave him in there since he looks so nice. Still a really cool figure! Well worth picking one up if you’re looking to get one on Ebay or whatever.

Here’s some more pics, including close-ups of the box details, should you want to actually solve the maze and word find puzzles! :stuck_out_tongue:

Wow, that Mr. Spell looks amazing! Great job! :open_mouth:

And I guarantee you will not be disappointed by Small Fry Buzz. He really is, for all intents and purposes, effectively perfect. He’s really great!

Woah! That’s awesome Emma. Did you create it? If not, who did and do they plan to make any more?

Very nice Emma. How is the electronic display achieved?

I got my Small Fry Buzz Lightyear yesterday, and in the UK no less. I thought I’d better get in and order him quickly before people began to realise his demand and bump the prices up. I got him for a fairly reasonable price, shame the shipping from the US always bumps it up. Ah well. He’s worth it for such an exclusive piece.

A really nice paint job done on these. Very minimal spill. I think his shoulder, hip, knee and neck joints are are articulated but I’m not going to be breaking into the case to find out. Perhaps a more daring member here can enlighten us? Helmet is not removable from what I can see and the question still remains… does he have wheels?

I particularly like the packaging theming here. Authentic grease stains and cardboard fries. Very nice package.

Playtime is your frieeeend!” Small Fry Buzz with his sponsor. He is bigger than I imagined for a supposed free toy with a Poultry Palace meal.

Pick one up if you can. A fine addition to any collection, and an increasingly rare one with every day that passes.

I’ll sign off with a picture of my entire collection up to date (minus Small Fry Buzz):

Edited: No links to eBay, please!

Apparently no wheels on the base of his feet however. In that above link he appears to be standing flush on the surface.

It follows that his hips, wrists, knees and head are therefore articulated as well (although as I mentioned above, his head looks to be sealed in the perspex dome so not very practical to rotate).

Edit: No links to eBay, please.

I’m Pretty impressed by the Mr Spell. Such a great piece for a TS collection. Does anyone knows the original price of the small fry buzz at the convention?

THE ORIGINAL PRICE WAS 25 dollars.

Holy crap Emma. :open_mouth:

The Spell is REALLY AMAZING. I love it.

So as far as you can tell, there is absolutely no way of removing Buzz from his box? I work a freight job that involves a lot of dismantling and reassembling of boxes so Im hoping once mine arrives I’ll be able to figure out a way to break him free without destroying his box.

Its funny, this replica made me notice something. I watched toy story 2 today and I noticed that this mr spell is slightly inaccurate. Then I watched Toy Story 1 and realized that Emmas replica is EXACT to the first movie, but the 2nd movie spell is slightly different. Anybody else besides me know how?

If I’m not mistaken it’s the letter/touch pad. In Toy Story it reads Mr. Spell on the bottom most. In the second film the same area is separated in two I believe. I don’t recall what it reads though.

Nailed it. It’s seperated into “space” and “speak”. Doesn’t say mr spell
