Toy Story Replicas (No trading-related posts please)

Looking good so far.

Please visit this thread for a detailed analysis of the parts usage, placement and construction technique prevalent in LEGO Bunny, as featured in the recent Toy Story of Terror.

Rather than clog up this thread with in-depth conversation I felt it better contained to its own forum where discussion can reign freely without interfering with talk about other replicas.

Just finished my first custom replica from Partysaurus Rex.

This party is out of control!

Excellent replica.

Omg that’s awesome x), is a car a little people car?

Yes, it’s the Fisher Price Little People police car and police officer figure. I didn’t change the car in any way, it was perfect already. I got a female police officer with the car, so I pried off her long hair and hat, and then glued the hat back on before sanding off the painted face and painting the new face and hat badge.

can anybody ge me HD pics of sids combat carl?

This is really the only angle as far as I can remember.

He also appears in this.

If memory serves, Combat Carl’s model in Toy Story pretty much is just one of the green army men enlarged, so examining how they look might be worth looking into if you’re wanting to figure out how he looks as well.

thanks. ive got a little combat carl idea. im gonna custom make him out of a gi joe. the original infantry kind, with a helmet.

After searching endlessly through the forums I still have a few unanswered questions which I hope the great people of Pixar Planet can help me answer:

-Is there a particular 8-Ball or Etch A Sketch that are the correct replicas or can I get any of the the actual toys?
-What size is the Pink-Haired Troll?
-Are the Luxo Balls still being sold within the Pixar Studios or have they been discontinued?
-Is the Buddy Pack Hockey Puck the only replica available of Hockey Puck?

Thanks for reading!

the 8 ball and the etch are just the actual toys
the pink hair troll the body from the feet to the top of the head is about 4inches but if you go to the top of the hair its 7 so just get a 4 inch troll
yes the balls there was only a limited amount of them so you will have to go on to ebay to find them now
As for the hockey puck the buddy pack version is the only one ever made unless you get it custom made from someone hope this helps

Thank you very much for all the answers

So a brief update, finally getting back to fixing the items that weren’t quite right in my collection:

The inner piece on my See N Say was blue…now it’s yellow. Just dismantled it, painted the front bit yellow, and the back red, re-assemble…screen accurate. And of course the barrel of monkeys barrel got a coat of yellow while I was at it.

Here is an updated picture of the collection…

Working on the Lego bunny now…I’ll post about that over there.

Beautiful collection Mate.

What exactly is the difference between the Toy Story 1996 Mr. Mike (PS-468) and the Toy Story 2 1999 Mr. Mike (TS-468)?

I’ve read that the 1996 version is a better replica than the 1999 version but I can’t seem to figure out why. Any help would be much appreciated.

These are the versions I’m talking about:

I believe the most accurate Mr. Mike replica is Playskool’s Rockin’ Robot from 1991.
