Toy Story Replicas (No trading-related posts please)

I don’t believe there’s any difference at all; just re-branded for Toy Story 2. Just by looking at them, they have the same buttons and capabilities. I don’t remember if the 1996 version came with a tape, though.

I think the 1996 version plays actual tapes while the 1999 version removed the ability to play tapes and now just plays recordings of Woody’s voice… But I may be way off so someone correct me if I’m wrong.

Nope, notice that a tape is indeed included with the 1999 Mr. Mike. The variation you’re thinking of is from the first line as well.

Lightsnack, the 1991 version is indeed the most accurate version as it is the one with ON & OFF written next to his green nose and has AM & FM written on him rather than VOICE CHANGER.

Mr. Potato Head, you are talking about a different type of Mr. Mike, known as PS-368, the one with only 4 buttons on his top and just plays Woody recordings.

Hiya guys after a hectic semester I thought the best way to unwind was to get back to my collection so I need your guys help does anyone know about how big andy’s magic slate/doodle pad should be ???

Good timing, just working on this myself as well. Referencing Toy Story 1, the board would be 6 inches wide at the base, and 8 inches tall at its highest point (the top of the hump) This makes the slate portion 4.5x6.25. Sadly, the real slates I found are either several inches to small or to big in any direction. You’re option then being to either cut down one of the to big slates or try to simply replicate the look of the slate which os what I’m doing. I’ll detail my process over the next few days.

Just finished!

droooooooooooooooool

 Snap.

Congratulations Doombuggy. I’m annoyed with myself… as you can see I ordered every single necessary piece in the correct colour apart from one. I forgot to order myself his 2 x 2 corner ear slope Grr! I have now however ordered this last final piece.about

A fine addition to any collection! And a fun one to research and build. As far as I know this is roughly 97-100% screen accurate, with only some mystery as to the bricks used inside and on the rear. My construction and brick choice however is visually accurate to all the available material, and where no material exists I have taken the most logical and efficient build choices.

I’ll be sure to show Angus Maclane on Twitter and ask for any tips regarding further accuracy. Until my ear piece arrives however, I am for now content.

N.B Anyone wanting a more in depth analysis and discussion on the build techniques and part list for LEGO Bunny should direct themselves to this thread.

cool.

Finished my bunny too (posted in the relevant thread). Just finished up these guys too from Partysaurus:

Awesome

Wow, not a single post in the former most popular thread in over a month

Good decision to ban trading and killing the fun that used to be this bored

Now the “moderators” don’t even remove the spam posts about Xbox and the ones in a different language.

This is sad and pathetic, hope you are happy, “moderators”

There are reputable people here, no doubt, but it seems like it just became too much to manage for a forum originally just for Pixar discussion. While it worked for a while, all it took was one bad instance to shake things up, and I can understand why Pixar Planet did not want to take accountability for such troubles. I’m still fine with discussing the films without people constantly talking about buying things off other people.

Though on the other hand, it is disappointing to see this place fall into such a depth that spambots are free to roam. I’ve reported to mods numerous times, but it seems that has fallen on deaf ears.

Yeah, I had originally thought that I was just late to the game and I missed out on what was obviously a really awesome active thread. I’ve contributed where I can, and will continue to do so, especially now that I’m getting into custom work to fill out my collection. However the thread still seemed to be very active all the way up to the point of the rule change, at which point activity virtually died. I understand why they’ve made the rules that they have, but don’t really see the point. I see buying, selling, and trading on many forums all the time of official and custom work, and these forums are most certainly common knowledge to the studios, and for the most part there is no issue. There’s really nothing more to say about it because I don’t see the “powers that be” changing their minds. And like you I also have to wonder where the moderators are as there have been several, obviously spam, posts in this forum for several weeks now.

It’s really a shame.

Sad to say it but this site is dead.

I still don’t see any reason Pixar planet can’t just wash their hands of any wrong doing and let the community sort things out for themselves. Any threats made against PP are completely empty. Like a chihuahua barking at an elephant.

I see other forums where scams happen but the community has everyone’s back and warns others to be careful.
