Took waaaaayyyyyy longer then I’d expected, but I’ve been able to create a 95% screen accurate label. I had to fill in a few minor blanks, but there was no way around it. I’m VERY happy with the result. Going to get it printed on my next day off.
On the subject of Mr. Shark, he is a character I’m interested in adding to my collection.
Where, might I ask TheSpaceSherrif, have you come across those sharks you last posted? Do you have a web-link.?
Alternatively, does anyone on these forums know a suitable place to obtain a Mr. Shark replica? Obviously not an official Toy Story branded version, but an accurate looking rubber shark. It’d be appreciated if people could hook me up with links if they have any.
I’ve just recently received Combat Carl Junior (Mattel) from the U.S, and won the very rare ‘Toy Story on Ice’ Lenny binoculars on ebay.co.uk for a very reasonable price. I’ll hopefully post some pictures this evening.
Other regions of Amazon do ship internationally. I buy from the U.S site all the time, I’ve received three items from America just this last month, and haven’t had to pay for import fees on any of them.
Thanks for the link to Mr. Shark. It looks like you can’t specify which colour you want, it just says ‘Only One Supplied’. On the plus side it squeaks! And at just over 30cm long it seems a good size. The eyes would be the most noticeable difference from the film version.
In other news, here are my two most recent additions to my collection:
Combat Carl would have been a bit of a letdown if I was a child buying him for playability. His shoulder and elbow joints are fake, i.e sculpted so that they can’t bend. Neither does his waist rotate or his machete come out the holster. As a display piece though he sits nicely with my others.
Can’t complain about Lenny, obviously he doesn’t walk, but again, as a display item he is a fine addition if you can get him for the right price. They are however becoming increasingly harder to find, especially in the UK.
Cool additions. Carl seems to small for me to pass for Combat Carl and is too detailed to be Combat Carl Jr., but I’m just being nitpicky .
That’s good to hear that other regions ship internationally, now I have to save more money to deal with the shipping rates. For Mr. Shark, I believe you can contact the seller if you prefer one color over the other. I’m hoping to get a gray shark but blue isn’t that much of a problem for me.
spacesheriff, you have a point about the combat carl. a few pages back, maybe 500, i posted a pic of the gi joe action pilot with a blue suit. also, it could be one of the 30th anniversary joes.
Sorry to interupt the thread but can anyone fully explain in detail how to make A Mr. Potatohead have 2 eye holes and how to fill the middle hole in between. Thanks in advance…
The Toy Story Collection Mr. Potato Head already has two eyeholes, but for safety precautions, the eye pieces were combined into one. I think people have had success cutting them apart and adding a peg to the other one, but the best results are from people just resculpting it. Tyler made some professional ones here a while ago, but has since retired. I’d say Sculpey would do the trick.
Thanks, but Actually…No…I mostly made it for My Chuckles to have in His Pocket.I just haven’t found a Baby Similar to Big Baby, buti would love to customize it with it’s tattoos and everything!
Woah, I’m new here but I saw this Live Action Toy Story 3 Replica movie project and thought you guys here would love to see it. The link is here: youtube.com/watch?v=Y56fHd7 … U-sdsGsJtw
