I doubt that. Preradactyl looks creepy, while Trixie and Rex look nice. Plus, you can see that Rex and Trixie have cartoony eyes, while Pteradactyl has plain red eyes.
Hahaha, true, good point.
I hadnt seen the 6" Twitch figure yet, looks really good, just needs a repaint. Looks like its movie scale, 6" or so. This is a must have for me,( I actually made something a few years ago that looks like him (not my design, was for a collector, star trek bug: i4.photobucket.com/albums/y147/T … ure289.jpg )

That Twitch looks pretty great, although it would be a shame if he didn’t come with his signature magical battle staff.
I’ll definitely be picking up a Twitch to add to my Toy Story collection (although he also looks like he would be at home with some classic Masters of the Universe figures).
For anyone who’s seen the Kellogg’s thread, there’s another Hamm bank out:

Yep, thats why I made the seperate thread.
On the cereal box, it shows that Hamm with a HUGE TS3 logo, which would be crappy, but something a cereal company would do. Although, from the looks of it, on the site it looks pretty good and is about the same size as the 95 Hamm bank.
I’m defiantley getting points to get that Hamm, alien, and a Mr P shirt, hahaha. I love that shirt.
Where did they put the logo? On his cork? It would be kind of dumb to put a big logo on the side of his body.

It’s strange that they list his height at 5 inches or so. If you look at the trailers he comes across more like 11-12 inches. Check when he’s flexing for mrs potato head or playing cards with Lotso. Somethings amiss .
It’s not to scale and it’s very small. Also it’s not a sqeaking toy, it squirts water instead.

I’m wondering how many of us will be pissed off to find that the TSC Potato head is released as he should’ve been? Save your receipts, or box, hahah.
Thats a new release, and of course the Mr. Potato in TS3 in packaging is already out, so I’m hoping they’re doing correct ones. Also, the normal price on hasbroshop for the crappy versions is 7.99, also something to take note of. If they’re new molds, etc, then the price would refleft that of 9.99, and it does. I’m crossing my fingers.
EDIT: Theres a phone number listed, so I’ll call tomorrow and get to the bottom of it, and let us know what we can expect. I’ll use clever wording, as if it IS true that ACCURATE ones are coming, then they WILL be secretive about it otherwise they’ll lose money from their pairup with thinkway on the electronic version. Toy companies always, always, always, make one “double dip” so I wouldnt hold it past them. Hasbro does that with every wave of every star wars thing they do.
And maybe THIS is why Mr. P had joined eyes, but two pegs on the toy (the tsc version). Seems like they were going to do what they shouldve for collectors until they realized “hey, in the fall when we release him without electronics, he will appeal to alot more younger kids, so lets make the eyes joined to avoid more mold costs, I’m sure no one would care.”.
Hasbro resuses molds like no other, producing star wars vehicles from the same molds for years. Why? Metal molds are expensive.
My guess is the eyes will still be conjoined though, but I might have to look into these. Im not sure if I regret buying my current potatohead or not just yet, but this should be interesting. somehow I have a feeling that this will be a more accurate one in terms of function, but might still be a bit off.
So your saying the new potato heads will be better than the TSC or no?
There’s no evidence yet, but what that statement means is that Hasbro will ATTEMPT to make accurate Potato Heads. I’m definately down with that idea, there’s hardly a way that it could go wrong if they follow Thinkway’s example, but just make it function the same way it did in the movie.
My guess is that they’ll have all the same parts as the TSC Potato head, and even the same body, but without the electronics. It could even have the shoes seperate. I’m hoping for the best.
If so i wanna buy both
That seems logical, its the cheapest way to go about this, and we all know companies like to save money. this would give us a proper potato and fits with how the non toy story collection cheaper toys have been handled.
I think what I might do is buy the cheap Mrs potato head and maybe swap the bodies (if the pieces are indeed interchangeable). I can justify spending the money that way easier than I can buying a another Mr potato head, and Mrs potato head. and I can live with having Mrs potato head be the one who cant store her own pieces.
I guess that probably settles the issue then of TSC Mr. Potato Head being accurate but not feeling like the same kind of toy. Hopefully it’ll be what some of us had wanted with the one they made for the original Toy Story: looking just like the film and still being played with like a classic Mr. Potato Head, minus the batteries and electronic stuff. I think the only reason I have Hasbro’s version right now is because I thought it looked “just enough” like the film.
Well if they do end up using the same pieces, keep in mind there will still be some limitations that prevent it from being like an old fashioned potatohead as they don’t fit in all the holes. You cant put the mouths in upside down, you cant put his arm in his mouth’s hole, etc.
and I have a feeling the feet wont be removable still, but we’ll see. we need to avoid jumping to conclusions just yet though, our predictions might be way off.
Edit: found this review of twitch if anyone’s interested.

Definetly doesnt seem large enough in scale though.
It’s a bit odd how Twitch’s description lists him as about 5-6 inches tall but in the movie he looks around 10-12 inches tall. I was looking forward to buying him, and I was considering that action figure, but I guess I’ll hold out.
Review of the 6" Twitch:
actionfigureinsider.com/blog … -3-twitch/
Shame about the lack of articulation, the fact his vest/armour isn’t really removeable and the complete lack of magical battle staff. Still, pretty cool looking and unless a more screen-accurate version comes out, I look forward to adding Twitch to my limited Toy Story collection. I hope we see some reviews for the Chunk and Stretch from this range soon.
