That’s what makes your collection special Wampar. I’ve seen collectors with unlimited budgets buy up everything in their path. They push up prices that make it so hard for the others to match. The thing is there are very little personal touches to those peoples collections. They see, they buy. i like a collection with soul and an insight to the collector who has them. My Batman collection has many garage kits that I have painted my way. I enjoy altering them to how they fit me best. Over the last 25 years I could have bought enough Batman items to fill a house. I choose to buy just that item that intrigues me. Those items will be passed on to my kids with the hope they value them like I do.

But then that means that my collection isn’t special.

I don’t modify or make my toys/replicas… I have no artistic ability what-so-ever.

Your not getting what I’m saying frontierqueen. It doesn’t matter if you mod or not, its how you feel. Some collectors buy simply because it exists. It has nothing to do with desire more, how can I put it, ‘can have’ attitude. There are also those who collect for no other reason than profit. Most people collect because of a love of that subject, like yourself. Someone like Wampar has the skill to make that which would not normally exist. To the outsider looking in that makes it special. Thats not to say your collection is not special to you, it is. As is mine to me and Wampars to him.

If your toys are special to you, then they are special. Be an Andy not a Sid, and your collection will be perfect.

I can’t speak for all of them, but as I was looking at mine I noticed that his head was slumping a little bit, so I lifted it with my hand to see how it would look if I tried to put some kind of a support wire inside, and as I lifted the wrinkles disappeared. Just like plastic surgery. So decided to try adding more stuffing, and it fixed the wrinkle, and fixed the slump without requiring me putting in any type of wire support. The compacted stuffing was enough.

I had said above that I would update with a new group shot after I got Bullseye. Well, he finally arrived in Central Florida yesterday. There were four to pick from, all were flawed. I decided to take the one with the wrinkled neck. After I got him home I opened his belly battery compartment, cut a small hole in the lining and stuffed more fiberfill in his neck. No more wrinkle! The stand is REALLY wobbly, and I think I am going to email Thinkway for a new one. But the horse himself is fantastic! I also completed my PIXAR ball yesterday. I ended up messing up the star on the other side, so it will always face out this direction…but that is okay…out of sight, out of mind.

And I do realize that the Replica thread is not the right place to talk about Bullseye, but my collection is so found object and altered object heavy that this seems like the right thread still.

Hey, I love your collection and I’m a collector myself, right now I am finding/creating images of all the toy story characters for a background. Your models are very accurate!

Is there anyway you could get shots of these characters for me to photoshop?
They need to be almost straight on (can be slightly higher) (flat color background/white if possible):

Yes, I got a couple of bouncy balls that were of an adequate size, cut holes in them so they fit together properly, and put a fishing weight in the bottom of the larger ball so it would stand. I filled the rest of that ball with fiberfill so it would maintain its round shape. I sculpted the collar, nose, and hat with sculpey. I superglued the pieces together, because hot glue (which I almost always use because I love it) doesn’t stick to the bouncy balls…at all. After it was all glued, I sprayed it with plastidip, then a gray primer, then white spray paint. Finally I painted the detail with my normal ghetto acrylic craft paints.

Here is a picture of the clown form, after gluing it together, but before spraying anything on it.

I actually yelled, “you S__O__B” out loud when you sniped it. haha. I wouldn’t have been so deflated but she actually had it listed for weeks and I kept missing the end time. I could have had it for 4.99 so many times.

I missed it before as well. In fact, the only reason the seller relisted it this time was because I emailed her and asked her to. So, sorry about that, but this one was mine from the beginning .

Wow. I am totally jealous of that one. I had to paint the yellow center on mine…I didn’t know they ACTUALLY made them that way. Awesome. When you get it, you have to let me know if it also has the red circle on the back.

I will. And I was just as surprised as you are. I’ve seen dozens of blue center versions for sale, but this was the only yellow center one I’ve ever seen outside of the movie.
