That looks like the one I was talking about on the TSC thread. Nice find with Trixie. That looks fantastic. It’s gonna be one expensive year.
Just got my Hamm through the post. He looks awesome but the paint job isn’t so hot. The spray job is a bit thin and even has a small run on the cheek. I may live with it for a bit but now I know it’s there…

But whats even crazier is this 2-pack, listing the above Sparks and Chunk, for only $25! And Seperate they’re…$25, so thats weird but a must have if true!
Those 3 above are made by Thinkway. If they got the files for the “collection” line, then they did for these too I’m sure. I’m so glad they’re affordable and look to do what the toys actually do in the movies, AND that they look accurate as hell to boot! Amazing discoveries, I thank the person the collection thread for them!
I can see them doing a larger Stretch, PricklePants, and damn, anythings open at this point! Thinkway has kicked my ass with the news of those awesome 1:1 Toy story 3 guys. They’re so damn cool looking!
Looks like Mattel decided to make a Ken and Barbie set for Toy Story 3:
I almost thought some of us would have to find the original ones for a replica, but it seems like they re-created them instead. So ironic since they never wanted Barbie in the original film in the first place.
I’ve just started seeing Toy Story 3 toys in the stores now and I found that Stretch figure Mattel made. It doesn’t really stretch, but it feels very rubbery and has that same glittery body. I knew it wasn’t going to be the right size either, but until they make a bigger one it’s probably the best Stretch toy available right now.
I picked this one up this morning. It is a Barbie-sized doll body, in Barbie-style packaging (with the TS3 logo), with a Jessie head sculpt and clothes. The head sculpt is REALLY good, and that is the main reason I bought one, but that’s about it. The chaps and jeans are one piece, the buttons on her shirt are just decals, there is no voice box (and not even a fake pull-string), and the lacing on her hat isn’t even painted white.
I seriously doubt that a clothes swap with the TSC version would be at all possible.
[Edit]
OK, I’ve spent some time comparing the head sculpts on my non-TSC Thinkway Jessie and the Mattel “fashion doll” version, and I have to say that although the Thinkway sculpt is very, very good, the Mattel sculpt is dead-on accurate to the film, and also captures Jessie’s character much more accurately. And, after looking more closely at the photos of the movie-size Mattel version in the other thread, it appears that the sculpt and paint apps on that version are identical to the fashion doll version, just larger, and I’ve decided that I now must have one.
Anyone want to help me out in finding one of these? I can’t see any on eBay.
What are you looking for RoboDad? The TSC Version? About what you said of the Mattel version, I’m going to get that one too and do a head swap. I think it looks better than the TSC version too.
Yes, I’m talking about finding the Mattel version. Unfortunately, the only place I can find it is the UK TRU site, and they don’t ship internationally.
I don’t know if I’d do a head swap or not, but that would be interesting to see. Mostly I just want that version, because of the AMAZING head sculpt.
BTW, on an unrelated note, I managed to score an original NRFB Animal Lovin’ Ken on eBay today for $15. I just happened to be online when the auction went up, and the seller had a $15 BIN.
Does the non-collection Jessie really have her hat like that when you put it on her? If so, I may have to get the collection one cause it doesn’t look right.
Well he mentioned that the Mattel version of the normal doll (non fashion) had the same sculpt and paint app as the fashion doll but larger, so one of them has to be off scale, I’m just not sure which. I have a feeling the fashion doll’s head would be too small for a head swap to work. its meant to be a Barbie esk figure, no? that would make it too small.
I know that the Toy Story Collection already had a great realistic looking RC Toy, but I thought this one was really cool:
Developed by NASA for their Buzz Lightyear parade, it functions much more like a real remote control car, with full front wheel turning and long range radio frequency.
Awesome!!! That looks like a mod of the Collection RC, and a fantastic one at that. When I get my RC, I’m doing to (try) and do the same, that would look really cool. Awesome man, thanks for that.
I cant quite put a finger on it, but something tell me its not the TSC RC, it looks different somehow. the only thing I can pinpoint is that his grill looks more like a frown.
The eyes look different, as in custom, the grill is bent down as the front wheels are. Its the collection RC. The operator is to the right of the screen in the video. I’m going to try and find his name to get some tips on modifying as I’ve got a few extra servos that would work perfect in the front for the left and right.
