Notice how it says “2 years & up”… I have a bad feeling that it won’t have separated feet or something like that. We all know separated eyes are pretty much not going to happen.
I would really like for them to re-tool the pieces from the TSC version, but make the holes actual holes, and replace the pegs with standard potato head pegs. If Hasbro would come through and actually do something like that, i’d definently pick it up. Even though I’m getting the TSC version. I know it’s their trap, but it would be neat.
How big is it? Is it in scale? Does anyone know where to find it?
I would love to get this lotso plush. Its overall shape is better than the TSC version, and the details are more accurate that the disney store one (plastic eyes, eyebrows, etc).
Its not perfect, but again the other versions are far from perfect as well. I actually expect it is actually way too small, though the 20 dollar price tag makes me hopeful it is bigger than it looks.
I also fear this is a japanese (or chinese?) exclusive, and I won’t be able to find it in america.
I expect the same sculpts, with butt compartment and retooled feet with no visable legs.
I kinda hope they do keep the same holes, that way I’ll be all set to use Tyler’s custom eyes, as well as interchange the pieces. But going back to the standard holes has its benefits too, one being more accurate. In that case I would have to modify my custom eyes to work.
That’s what I think they’ll do and it’d be awesome. I really hope they keep the two eye holes. It’d make it so much easier. They should to separated feet, because the shoes are big enough to not be a “Choking Hazard”.
This is so exciting! I would love the pieces to at least look exactly like the movie, and then we’ll just modify it ourselves again. I just really don’t want to buy the $50 one!
Btw, on my Woody doll, the seams keeping his left leg are coming apart. When I first opened him, I saw the white seams but just left it alone. Now I can see it bursting. I didn’t buy it that long ago. Do you think Toys R Us would let me return it? It’s barely been a month and I haven’t done anything rough on him. Sigh, I feel just like Andy from TS2.
Since I already own a screen accurate ( for the most part, when viewed from the front) I’m still not sure if I’ll buy the new Mr potatohead. Even if its perfect. At the very least I might hold off for a while. Definetly will get Mrs Potatohead though. Im not sure if they’ll do a TSC version of her, but even if they do, Im not sure I’ll bother unless its for completion’s sake.
But as it is my collection wont technically be complete unless I get the alien 3 pack, which I find pointless when I can get more accurate single packs and choose the expressions I prefer. The only thing missing would be the COA, but That’s enough to mean I don’t technically have the full collection. Then of course I still need to get Lotso and Utility Belt Buzz, which I think I’ll wait until there’s a really good deal on before buying.
That said, I’ll probably cave at some point and get an additional Mr. P, so I can have an accurate Mr and Mrs P.
Wonder if Tyler would be willing to do custom Mrs eyes…
From what I read from the picture. It is in Chinese, and is probably at some convenience store in Hong Kong (named OK convenience).
You don’t buy the bear for $20, but you get a chance to draw for the bear. Basically you get a lucky package (“OK FUN BAG”)every time you buy $20 worth of stuff from the convenience store, and there is a chance that the bear MIGHT be in the package.
Basically for the “OK FUN BAG” you get one of those cards at the bottom. The cards range 5 points to 100 points & Jumbo card. When your cards add up to 100 points you can claim the pen. But you can only claim lotso, if you manage to draw the lotso jumbo ok card.
The dial is completly different with pictures of toy story on it, which makes no sense.
The wheels are cheap plastic that arent full wheels, but cut off near the body.
The phone itself is slightly more detailed and thin.

J Pidgeon has pics of an alien cup that I sa recently. It looked to me like the alien was just a shell around the actual cup. I say this because you could squeeze the alien a bit before hitting the cup. If Someone wanted to, it could be modded.
I saw one of those when I was at the Disney Store. The only catch with trying to mod one would be the fact that the antenna on this guy, is a straw. If you could find a way around that, and make it air-tight, you could probably have an accurate squeaking Alien.
