Working AND original box (which for the record isn’t in that bad shape)? For a 60’s product, this is pretty unheard of, so you might want to keep that in mind when bidding.
I also finished the wrist communicator sticker I was working on. This was custom, except for the fuel guage because this was an early Buzz, and had a slightyl different shape. It also featured real buttons, so those were cut out.
Here’s the design (I printed it on 31% of the normal size). The triangle buttons were a bit small in the sticker, but that’s just because I didn’t want to overdo it. I originally tried to incorportate the Gamm Quadrant bar in the side, but it just looked to crowded (if you want, I’ll share it).
Now, if anyone has the Intergalactic Buzz Lightyear, did it originally come with a sticker?
I had taken a little vacation for a couple of weeks…but back home and back to business.
Robot, made from sculpey and a couple of printed peices. Not perfect, but I am pretty happy with him. And with him completed I have what I consider to be a complete set of Andy’s toys.
Wampar, I like it. Since I assume he’s nonelectronic, I like how he has that alive look to him.
That’s awesome! It’s definately much cleaner. I probably didn’t notice it because I was on vacation, but I regret that, knowing the screws and speaker on mine were made in MS Paint.
Found this spud head on a local store site. I’m wondering if this could be the movie version we have been waiting for. It’s not the tsc one. Check the feet
I hope your right but I have a feeling that is the TSC Potato Head prototype photo, if you were to buy it you would probably receive the cheap Potato Head that is already out.
Does anyone know if they’re even restocking the Bonnie’s toys plushes anymore? Or are they just selling out quickly. By the way Wampar, your Robot is awesome! What did you use for the clear shell thing?
wampar your robot looks amazing. excellent work man. i was wondering, does your troll doll have blue eyes? i cant seem to find any “blue eyed-pink haired” trolls online and ive been looking high and low
Howdy Gang! Yes, my troll does have blue eyes, but I have had her since the late 90s…so I wouldn’t know a sure fire place to look. If I remember correctly she was wearing some kind of a costume when I bought her…like a nurse if memory serves me, but it has been more than a decade.
Robot is basically a paperweight. No moving parts at all.
And the plastic dome is way ghetto. I shopped around the toy store looking not at toys themselves, but at the packaging the toys came in because I just wanted a rounded dome blister pack…didn’t care what came in it. What finally worked was a Polly Pockets type of Snow White rip off doll thing that was on clearance at Target for like two bucks. I couldn’t get the shape exactly right, so the piece is not glued down. It is just sitting across the forehead. Up close you can see that it is just sitting there unattached, but from further than a foot away from it you would never know.
And I am still waiting for two more items before I set up another group pic: the Magic Slate and the Tinkertoys container podium (which I could not find the right one…but I found one that has the right feel…even though it is not screen accurate at all.). Once they get here I will set up some pics.
and my speaker is incorrect, i couldent make the right shape i wanted, so i just used the closet thing i could use. yours is much closer the film.
also i have a question for you: were you the user that moded your tsc mr.potato head derby hat so it can be placed anywhere on his head? i remember someone saying they did, but never posted instruction.
Wamper, with your collection like that, I can die happily . You can feel free to use my Magic Slate if you like. It’s not perfect, so just go and make any necessary changes. The back of it looks a bit… odd… because I didn’t have a very good reference, and I had to shrink the man on the horse because of scaling issues…
Score!! I finally found the accurate Ken pack. They had 4 of him at my TRU today, and I gotta say, I’ve never gotten so many weird looks in my life. I also found the woodys roundup guitar and harmonica at another TRU, and apparently they were 20% off, so I got them for 23.99 and 5.59 respectively. Pretty good day for me.
I’ve been curious about Bonnie’s plush toys too, because I’ve wanted to get them, as my collection is nearing completion, and it seems as though they are sold out completely of those guys, meaning I’d have to resort to EvilBay to find them.
Does anyone else have any ideas about their availability?
Nope. Is the TSC hat different than the original one? Because that one didn’t have any studs.
Also, would this be a good place to try to get a listing of the games at Pizza Planet, or would that be best left to another thread? First, I can say Black Hole (Andy’s favorite game with the huge gun) was completely custom, as Pixar made the blueprints for it. Can’t say the actual game was from an existing one, since we never see the screen.
Pong is one of the machines seen, but it was in a different cabinet, and I’m pretty sure it had a different name as well.
The Whack-An-Alien game was pre-existing.
The Space Crane Game was custom, however, real life replicas exist at Pizza Planet.
There’s also a couple other games listed in a Toy Story source book I have. Since the names aren’t reliable, I’ll probably have to go by screens.
One of the games appears to be the classic Konami arcade space shooter Scramble, but the colors are off.
Finally, it’s interesting that the arcade in Al’s Space Land in the Toy Story 2 video game uses some of the same game samples from Pizza Planet.
