What are your guys’ thoughts on this 20" Lotso?

Do you reckon it puts him more in scale?

I’m pretty sure I saw that big Lotso at the Disney Store last time I was there. It was clearly too large to be in scale.

Speaking of the Disney Store, I picked up the Advanced Talking Buzz today with the coupon. If anyone is looking for a good Non-TSC Buzz, he’s pretty much the best. The articulation is really good, besides his right arm becuase of the Lazer, and he’s got all the features that Buzz had in the first Toy Story. Thought i’d mention it if anyone was on the fence. I am very impressed with this guy.

Any one else get bothered by Jessie’s bushy yarn hair ?..since my nieces took off her bow and stuff and her hair was down i decided to cut some of the unnecessary yarn off…she is now screen accurate her braid is now realy thin

Does anyone know any where online where I can get a fishing rod which is simlier to the one used in toy story 1 for sids toy legs.

I want to do it, I’m just afraid to. I’m afraid of two things, one that I’ll snip the wrong pieces, making it look odd, and 2, since I’m not a girl and not used to braiding hair, I might not be able to get it rebraided properly.

Over the last couple of days I have started gathering pieces and parts for Sid’s toys. This is the best option I found for the fishing rod. It’s not perfect, but with a paint job and a hook made with sculpey it might just work.

Could you post a picture?

Hey guys this isn’t Toy Story exactly but in a way this guy is the original Buzz Lightyear.

Sniff. Beautiful ain’t he?

^ The original “Buzz Lightyear” was named “Memphis From Morth”, that’s just “Tinny The Tin Toy”.
But yes, it is very beautiful.

It’s “Tempus from Morph”, and actually Tinny was going to be the star in the earliest version of the film before they decided to come up with a new character, which is why Buzz was originally red cause he replaced Tinny.

Ugh! I knew it was “Tempus from Morph”. Who knows where I got “Memphis from Morth” from. lol. Wait, Buzz replaced Tinny? I thought it was Woody that replaced Tinny… Then again, Tinny does look a little like the original Buzz.

well I will post pictures soon as I can <_>…I dont have a camera i use my sisters since she lives a block away from me lol…Ill ask if i can use her camera.
I was scared to cut it…but I had help with my mother…Im a guy so she braided it and helped me cut some pieces out she used to cut hair. I ll post a tutorial on it soon …you kinda have to dissect her yarn hair lol its crazy and weird.should it be a video or just pictures explaining?

From what I’ve learned, Pixar wanted to make a TV special in CGI called A Tin Toy Christmas that never got produced, but when Disney hired them to do a feature film John Lasseter went back to that idea and the very first version of Toy Story was supposedly just a feature length Tin Toy. Woody was originally a ventriloquist’s dummy, and I also found out that both Lotso and Wheezy originated from characters in the Christmas special idea.

oh thanks I might get that. Do you have any idea on the actual size of legs.

I assumed they were just barbie legs, no?

yea got some barbie legs today just need to attach a fishing rod to the legs. From watching the film again it seems to me that when legs has the rod almost straight in the air it comes to somewhere around the size of woody.

Yup. Official script describes it as a ‘fashion doll,’ but that’s just the generic term for a Barbie, because of the Mattel lincensing problems.

And nice avatar; did someone yank that string out of Slinky’s brain?

That or he’s been shot. heh

Your Woody’s pull string conversion looks great! Does the new string’s length make it go back into his body at a slower pace, like in the movies? Or does it go back in just as quick as the original string?
