It could just be me, but I feel the overly-explanitory narration ruins it. Instead of just giving key points and saying something like “And all that’s about to change…” leaving a little bit of mystery, it instead decides to tell you more than we need to know. Wouldn’t it be better just to show Eve instead of to spell out to everyone “Her name is Eve. She may be wired differnetly, but that’s not going to stop Wall-E.” Do we really need to hear that when we’re seeing the visuals?
“Meet Wall-E” is fine, but do we really need to hear “he’s developed a personality”? and “He’s extremely curious” when again, we see the visuals of him playing?
Trailers are most successful when they give just enough info, but not too much, and instead let the audience try to guess a little. I think the new visuals shown here are perfect for a new trailer, but the narration is a big disappointment which takes away from them. I hope when it comes time for new theatrical trailers, they’ll dial back the narration a bit. This would work SO much better with half the narration. The audience isn’t stupid, we can see what’s going on, we don’t need to be told everything – it’s better that everything ISN’T said I think. Just my two cents…

WALL-E is adorable, the Pixar animators just get better and it really shows on this character who basically mimes everything.
They have the Meet the Robinsons trailer narrator, that makes this movie sound childish (thanks to Disney), and The Great Escape music. Love the new footage but not the tone it sets for the movie.
Plus you finally get a glimpse of the long rumored [spoil]Hello Dolly tape[/spoil] that WALL*E comes across.
I actually disagree. It makes it sound like a thinking man’s film, with the British accent and all.
How much did you think on Meet the Robinsons, a mass of childish jokes with a ‘tiny’ bit of actual story and heart hidden under all that crap.
It’s a bad accent that makes WALL*E sound bad, as if it was narrated by Mark Elliot. If you turn the volume down, it seems more touching, and more of a thinking man’s movie (just imagine Jeremy Irons’ voice).

I actually liked the narration, it was good, I felt like I was watching the discovery channel. The songs they used where hilarious, and appropriate for the clips. There’s so much emotion in the trailer, happiness, sadness, but most of all excitement. I like how they used anti-climax, very clever. [spoil]My comments on the trailer’s content is that the buildings look like Tommorowland. That was a nice touch, also I felt bad for WALL-E when he saw the “other” EVE’s, Hello Dolly (the video on the screen) really worked well. Also teh trailer shows the first image of WALL-E, it’s around 2:04. By the way I think it’s aawesome EVE has a gun, because you’d never know, it’s so WOW! Also I like how EVE moves and how she says WALL-E. WALL-E got hit hard hahah. [/spoil]Ok so I could ramble on, but I won’t until later.
