People, don’t think about it too hard, it’s pure fantasy. It’s like arguing about the fish in Nemo sticking their heads underwater and taking a breath when fish breath through gills, not their mouths.
Lets say WALL*E was given a voice and the knowledge/data of human language to help communicate between master and worker (you know, to save humans time reading data and pressing buttons because they’re lazy in the future).
Now lets say, as hinted on the Buy n’ large website, that WALL*E evolves by adding to his programing as he spends more time on Earth. Lets say watching movies and studying human objects has made him very interested in his creators and he imitates them out of curiosity and to help make him feels secure with any loneliness he may experience with his evolved programing.
My best guess: The sigh is just part of his imitation of humans, a personality adopted to conquer his loneliness, and nothing more than a habit.
If not that, it was put their by Pixar as nothing more than to help the audience get emotionally attached to WALL*E.
Also, do we really need to put spoiler tags around anything in this topic?
The title tells anyone before they even get in here that it’s about the 3rd trailer so they can’t possible expect us not to talk about it in this forum topic. The title also hints that the trailer will be available to view here and if they don’t want to watch or discuss the trailer because of spoilers, why did they enter this topic in in the first place?
I think anyone worried of spoilers has enough warning by the title of the topic alone and all of us putting everything we say in spoiler tags just inconveniences ourselves.
It’s not like were discussing something off topic, that was not in the trailer, and would spoil something a person who came in here for the trailer would not want to hear.
Well, thats my stand on things.
