TV Shows You Watch

I’ve never watched that, since Cartoon Network kinda creeps me out.

Survivor starts this month! does a dance

Yayya! I’m so excited for Survivor!

Isn’t Stephen Colbert like, a parody-Conservative? Cos’ he tries to sound intelligent but he comes off as being arrogant and overtly-antagonistic when he interviews people, which is not really helping his case. Unless he’s playing a faux-personna like Borat or Bruno to expose the Conservative’s hypocrisies.

I discovered him from Monsters vs Aliens, btw.

TDIT: You could say that! Yeah, he’s not a “real” newscaster. He refers to the Stephen on the show as his “character”. In reality, he’s a democrat, and has quite liberal views!

I’m not surprised, that’s nice to know. To be fair though, someone should do a faux-Liberal persona! :stuck_out_tongue:

Fox News used to have this guy Alan Colmes who was pretending to be liberal before Colbert was pretending to be conservative… but I can’t tell if it was a comedy.

I just watched this great show called Human Target… my brother recognised the lead protagonist and his handler from Boston Legal and Pushing Daisies respectively. Apparently it’s based off a DC comic book series and it has a very MacGuyver/Burn Notice flavour to it. The premise is the hero’s a human-troubleshooter, like a one-man A-Team, so he gets to play spy, cop, and superhero all rolled into one. I saw the episode where he has to escort a DA and protect her from crooked cops, and the storyline was fantastic. I can’t wait to watch the pilot, apparently he gets to fight baddies who hijacked a bullet train and planted a bomb on it! :sunglasses:
Oh, and the music is fantastic. Has a very straightforward ‘good guy theme’ to it, like those old-school 80s TV shows.

Survivor starts tonight! I can’t even tell you have excited I am for it. It’s so amazingly spectacular. Yay!

It does! I forgot, thank you for reminding me Evangeline! Wait, isn’t today Wednesday, isn’t Survivor usually on Thursdays?

Yeah, but they changed it to Wednesdays this season, for reasons unknown to me

Survivor, Family Guy, Modern Family, Big Brother, and I love Desperate Housewives

There are two shows that I’ve been watching recently

One is Border Wars on NatGeo. It is a very interesting show. It’s about the US Border Control officers and their jobs protecting the US/Mexico Border. Their main job is to search cars for drugs brought over by Mexican Drug Cartels. It’s very facinating.

Another is a show from the early 2000s, Duck Dodgers. The show is based off of Chuck Jones “Duck Dodgers in the 24th 1/2 Century” (which happens to be my favorite animated short of all time, as you can tell from my sig.). The show is not as awesome as the original short, but it’s still pretty funny all the same. The show has it’s really lame parts, but it’s still very entertaining, especially Dodgers. One thing that bothers me though is how tall the Martian race and the Martian Queen are compared to Marvin, and the fact that Marvin isn’t even called Marvin. Ah well, you take what you can get with spinoffs

I remember Duck Dodgers, ellie-jessie-eve! I used to love that show! There are so many old cartoon shows that bring back memories for me…anyone here ever watch The Ripping Friends? I used to watch that with my dad when I was around 9 or 10. Looking back on it now, that was very irresponsible of my dad to let me watch that show 8D Oh, and Johnny Bravo, and Angela Anaconda, and The Toadstools…good times, good times.

Evil_Genius: Yes! I’m glad that there’s someone here that remembers Duck Dodgers! (which, by the way has one of the coolest theme songs ever! I mean, it’s sung by Tom Jones!

I dont’ remember those other shows, but I did love (and still do love) Johnny Bravo!

Ah, I remember the original short, ellie-jessie-eve. I absolutely loved it and the style of it and the humour of it- just generally loved it. As for the series that followed it, I do remember watching a few episodes, though of course it was quite a while ago.

I don’t watch TV, but on YouTube I watched an episode of Glee a couple of days ago. It was pretty cool. I also saw an episode of How I Met Your Mother, which was awful except for Neil Patrick Harris. I hate sitcoms… :unamused:

Haha, I don’t watch the show but I went to Universal Studios a couple weeks ago and was flabbergasted by how beautiful the show’s set was

ellie-jessie-eve - I liked Duck Dodgers a lot too! What I remember liking a lot was that they were able to spend more time on Mars and with the Martians then the old animated shorts could allow. Marvin was my guy though. He was probably the whole reason I watched the show.

The new intro to the Hawaii-Five-O remake has been released, and it sounds waaay better than the last one released a few months back. All the iconic shots from the original intro are retained, accompanied with a grander orchestral beat compared to the synchorinised one. This is a beautiful case of the producers actually listening to the fans (cos’ I remember reading some criticisms a few months back in the comments section, so someone at CBS must have paid attention).

Some wicked-looking posters.

And it premieres tomorrow in the States, I believe. I can’t wait… I may have to resort to legally-questionable means if Oz FTA doesn’t pick this up fast…

Oh yeah, I remember seeing that on a commercial. Funny, because my dad was just talking about how good the old show was, and then we saw this. Maybe he’ll watch it, I dunno. I probably won’t though
