I will be watching The Office tonight.
Did anyone besides me watch the new Simpsons last night? It was pretty good. Oh, and according to the opening titles, Springfield is in Oregon. At least until the chalkboard gag, where it says, “Springfield is in any state but yours.” I guess we’ll never know…
Most likely it’s Oregon.
That was a rough episode last week. I wouldn’t say it was the worst one, but geeze was the writing so lazy. All of Andy and Erin’s scenes at the bachelorette party were oddly paced and uncomfortable. Which is a shame since I like them. The bad magician and the staff turnaround at the end could have been better and funnier, and I wasn’t totally buying that everyone would be so eager to throw Nellie a bad party as a prank, especially with Robert around. I would say Creed and the opening involving Stanley were the enjoyable moments in that episode.
I saw an article recently in which Matt Groening explained that Springfield is in Oregon. I guess he’s from that area. I kind of preferred having Springfield be a town that could be anywhere.
In a newer article he said that is false. He said Springfield is BASED on the one from Oregon. But it dosen’t take place in Oregan.
I think that’s very similar, though. It’s still ambiguous, I agree, but there may be certain characteristics of the Springfield in Oregon that inspired the show’s setting.
I didn’t see the episode, but I heard in the news a couple weeks ago that Springfield is based on the Oregon one.
I hear that this week on The Office is that Andy will be returning to Scranton and will battle Nellie for the managers spot. I think we know who will win.
I’ve recently started watching The Muppet Show on DVD and YouTube. ![]()
It makes me mad that a show I kind of want to see is late at night.
It’s bases on the one in Oregon but it dosen’t take place there. Omly Matt knows. I think it’s either a fictional state or something. I think one episode had them move the town somewhere else. So they may move the town all the time.
Yeah, I don’t think “The Simpsons” is a show that intends to be entirely consistent with details, especially with all the episodes it’s had. It doesn’t really make much of a difference to me. I haven’t seen any recent episodes except the Pixar one, because I just wanted to see the directors wearing Hawaiian shirts and riding around on scooters. ![]()
So, I finished “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” One month, 144 episodes = 4-5 episodes a day. In other words, it kind of consumed my life for a couple weeks! Have spare time? Time to watch Buffy! Sitting in bed waiting to fall asleep? Time for more Buffy! And now that option is gone unless I simply restart the show, which I’m not interested in doing right now because I want to savor every moment next time around. I might end up doing the really geeky thing and get the comic books or read the academic theory that’s out there. I can’t simply end my relationship with “Buffy” right here!
I know this is weird and/or pathetic, but when I watch a show, I REALLY get into it… or I don’t watch it at all. When a show has characters I really love and a great, engaging story—very much like “Buffy”—it’s hard to say goodbye, especially when I know there will be no more episodes ever. Waaaaah! ![]()
Guess I’ll start on “Angel” soon… But I might wait 1-2 weeks so I can get other stuff before then, in case I get sucked in right away.

Yay!
Yesterday’s South Park episode was AMAZING. Best of the season so far, IMO.
There was a show I was kind of interested in, but it’s always on late at night. Then I found out that it’s not the right seasons anyway. Maybe some of the episodes coming up will be from the right seasons.
I have no intentions on watching The Office tonight.

Why not?
I was disappointed last week and it doesn’t look too promising this time around.
I liked last night’s South Park.
It’s a parody of I shoulden’t Be Alive. Spring break is almost over and the boys are board. They decide to go ziplining and do. Stan’s uncle takes them. After they arive and get suited up they find out they are going to be in a tourist group. They pretend to care. They then take a shuttle and it takes a long time and get bored. Cartman farts from having to much Mountion Dew. They go ziplining and it turns out to suck. They find out they got to go 20 more so times. They leave the group and find a place to ride horses. It turns out it also has tourist. They can only go 4 miles an hour. They then find a boat and go on it. It shows a live action scene of the boys (Played by older men) on the boat in pain. Kyle says they should shar the Mountion Dew and they do. They get herpes from Kenny. Kenny dies from boredom. They are then saved my Mr. Hankey. Kenny’s remains are returned to his family. Stan makes a video to shoes the botingnuss of ziplining. It become’s a success and he jerks off in San Diego again. Kyle makes a full recovery from Cartman’s farts. Cartman goes back to drinking Mountion Dew after just two weeks.
The use of live action actors in the newest episode of South Park was brilliant.
